I might be recalling incorrectly, but I’m fairly certain there’s actually been experiments done that show that there’s a thing called a bystander effect. Basically means that if someone’s in trouble, people are less likely to help if there’s other people around. If that man had been in a crowd at the time, he would’ve been far more likely to not have helped. Psychology is downright bizarre.

I saved my homies friends life with abt 10 minutes of cpr, never seen him again but still think of him and know he thinks of me too. He only stayed about another 10 min after he came back to life and left but yes apologized and thanked me a million times before he took off. Told him he didn’t need to be sorry And that’s the first and only time I’ve performed cpr just off of video on the internet I’ve seen before or watching shows like bondi rescue and having a crush on a lifeguard at my gym and was interested in learning some cpr which came in handy someday sooner than I knew

I went to private school and even there many teachers opted to play us films instead of teaching. My tuition was over $6,000 a year and our science teacher played movies like Biodome regularly.
