The pontoon boat is so much fun! A few years ago my dad chose that to celebrate his 80th birthday. We cruised to Mt Dora and had lunch at the beautiful old Inn. He didn't enjoy the shopping as much as we did though!

Had me crying tears of joy for Linda. What an awesome thing to do for her Jerry! That's what we did on The Lifestyle preview. My Friend and I drove all over The Villages in the golf cart. Of course that was back in 2011 when The Villages was a lot smaller than it is now! When I first moved here, I forgot that I had newspaper delivery and my neighbor came over and told me about the concern they have when they see 2 papers out side. Hello Jerry and Linda. I think you both made a fantastic decision retiring at 55. Had you stayed longer on the job you may never have come to The Villages and life may have been very different. It's said that once a person hits 60 they have about 1000 weeks of good life left. I'll be 70 soon which means on average, I have about 500 weeks of good life left. I really need to get started on having some fun. Working many years as a nurse I can vouch that no one on their deathbed says "I wish I spent more time at the office." Enjoy life!

We have a golf cart with 2 seats forward, 2 back on Kelleys Island, Lake Erie. I wish we had 2 facing forward. I may start looking into getting that. It's easy to slip off that back seat when a golf cart starts forward or on a hill.

Good morning! I loved how Gerry set up the surprise for Linda . It was so much fun to watch . My friend and l just came back from the Villages . We went to help her sister and BIL move into their first Village house and to visit my brother and SIL. We had such a good time , in fact my brother has lived there for over 10 years and the Villages is getting more and more appealing to me . To the person who just asked about places to stay . We decided not to bother our families since her sister was moving in and unpacking Pods and my brother was getting ready to go north . We stayed at the Brownwood Hotel and loved it . The most comfortable beds etc . Extremely clean . We also ate at the Wolfgang Puck restaurant and had the worst service l have ever had. My friend’s sister said that they eat at the bar at the Brownwood where the food comes quickly from Wolfgang’s kitchen . The Brownwood’s breakfast cafe is delicious and the servers were extremely helpful and nice .

Just my 2 cents as to why I LIKE a 2+2 rear seats facing backwards golf cart. Size and storage. You can park it perpendicular at the squares along side the 2 seaters. The 4 seats all facing front are too long to do that. And the rear seat folds down creating a flatbed to transport things. In closing, I’m not against the 4 forward configuration. This is just what I would like.

The seat belts on the golf carts I feel are esential for saftey. I put them on mine, even though I didn't have to for llicensing beause the seats are slick.Since I drive on the public streets, I need to realy keep an eye on the cars.

Great show about golf cars today. When visiting family in TV we always rent from The Villages Golf Cars in Brownwood. Great customer service and reliable carts. Even though they adjust the throttle to 16-17 mph max, not having seatbelts in the rentals seems odd. Keep up the great informational videos!

The 4 seater facing forward carts do look real nice. I think using that capacity only a couple of weeks out of the year though doesn't make sense when the added cart length also makes it tougher to maneuver sharp corners. They also stick out into traffic lanes when parked in areas like the town centers (perpendicular to the curbs). I suspect most cart traffic tickets are for DUI's. I would like to see the sheriff continue stepped up enforcement on Morse and Buena Vista where contractors and out of state plates often drive at 50 or more.
