Police training vehicle tactics. This course teaches officers about the inconsistencies of shooting through their windshield and gives them a solution to that problem. All police tactics including this one starts with asking the question “how fast can we get accurate rounds to the target.”

We are aware of the sound issue. Don’t be afraid to suck at stuff or you’ll never star, and if you’re afraid to fail you’ll never finish. Thanks for the support.

No, be afraid to suck at stuff. Be prepared...Do your research and find someone with knowledge and learn before you go and mess up cause you suck. You don't need to be perfect, you just don't want to suck so bad that you get your buddies or family killed with your stupidity. Be afraid to suck, it'll make you try harder to not suck. The End

Everyone sucks at whatever they are trying to learn the first time they do it. Even if you get trained by the best martial arts coach in the world, you’re gonna suck for a while. You can’t skip the sucking phase. You can read all the theory, watch all the videos, have all the knowledge of how you are supposed to handle a firearm, but the first time you try and use it would be a very weird experience, and your gonna suck at it until your able to align your physical skill with your mental knowledge. Maybe you can have different definitions of afraid to be a more positive thing, but I think when most people are afraid of something, they avoid it. And when you avoid fundamental stage 1 of learning something, you might try to act like your better than you are, or try to early to do advanced stuff that requires better fundamentals to do properly.

As a current LEO, i really appreciate your down to earth videos. Just found you about a week ago but you've already got me rethinking some things the veteran officers taught me that they learned 30 years ago that just don't make sense. Keep it up brother!

I like the video, looks like really good training. However most police officers that will attend this type of training will never practice or train again is a check the box for them, it is the mindset that needs to change. Leaders need to take a hard look and mandate monthly weapons training for their officers and maintain a high level of physical standards for their officers. I left law enforcement over 12 years ago and went into contracting because the physical and shooting standards are way higher, if you failed to maintain the standards you just don't have a job plain and simple, maybe the LE community needs those types of standards. Good luck man keep doing good things oh and I subbed.

You are correct. In every class I talk about exactly this. One thing we can guarantee is that those taking the class will continue to go out there and do the job. With this understanding I have built my classes around that very concept. Students are taught how to apply it in the real world and how to use every interaction as a training opportunity. This is largely how I taught myself (I did train a lot as well).

Why have the driver bail from cover for the passenger to move back? Why not have driver go to the rear, stay on his side (behind cover), call "set", then have passenger move to the rear with him?

I don't know much but I like to learn - could someone explain why you would use rifles in a vehicle? Seems are to maneuver them with doors in the way and everything vs something like an MP5? Or an AR pistol with much shorter barrel?
@internetrules8522
@internetrules8522 2 ай бұрын
Well one thing is that the rifle is already the thing you are carrying. Like yeah if you could have 10 guns on your back all for the specific scenario you were in, and you could use a weapon wheel like in GTA V to choose whichever one you wanted, that would be pretty cool. But the rifle is the most generally versatile weapon that can be used in pretty much every situation, so it’s the one you use. Every weapon platform has its own problems in every environment, and you need training and practice to be able to overcome those problems.

Also one benefit mentioned in the video with longer guns: you’re more aware of where your muzzle is relative to the obstacles/cover infront of you. It would be more clear that your rifle isn’t going to shoot your door, than it is whether your mp5 is going to shoot your door. Also rifles generally have better range and accuracy, and I’ve seen some videos where police take some longer range shots while still being at their car. So it seems like a not uncommon thing to want some good ranged accuracy immediately after exiting your vehicle

On your demonstration around 3min mark, what is the purpose of the driver going all the way around and over-exposing? I am guessing so that the passenger can move without being "flagged" by the other weapon?
@Forward_Concepts
@Forward_Concepts 3 ай бұрын
Correct. Providing cover without conflicting. Prevent accidents like passenger bailing out because of incoming gunfire and running into officers line of fire etc.

@@Forward_Concepts I had the same question, so a follow-on question, is the concept to provide supporting arcs of fire in the event of an offensively positioning shooter? My initial thought is that the the driver working from what i would consider to be a point of dominance (behind the engine bay with the potential to move forward around the engine bay) would be more advantageous. The one circumstance i can see it being a benefit is if the threat takes up a position perpendicular to the LE Vehicle that limits one officer or the other from returning fire.

Yea no way I’m ever turning my back to the suspect in a shootout, there was a shooting in TN where a deputy was shot and the suspect drove off because the female deputy was too busy running to the back of her police SUV

They are training specifically to respond to threats already deemed completely lethal and dangerous. They do this so that they can stop shootings, etc. When they hesitate to be violent immediately, you get a repeat of Uvalde, and you people complain about that too.
