How do the English stand that they have such a police force. What this and these officers say is complete nonsense. It's like the officers live in a kindergarten, and they talk down to a citizen who will have to defend himself and be able to prove his innocence. Even young cops are completely stupid, it's like they surrender their critical sense when they become cops. How can the English endure having such a police, asks a Scandinavian - where we have a tolerant police, well-trained officers who respect the citizens and who behave properly.

@Kens UK Adventures Doesn't really matter, they're still not under any obligation to inform people about BWV usage although it would be courteous to do so. KZbin auditors and content providers are not regulated as far as I'm aware so there's no requirement for them to create policies. All a policy really does is set an expectation of employee behaviour that can be evaluated externally if required.
@jannenreuben7398 Жыл бұрын
@Kens UK Adventures I was talking specifically about policies here, my apologies if that wasn't clear. Obviously a policy does not override the law and it only binds the employees of whatever organisation writes the policy, my point was that the police ARE bound by their own policies in a way that an auditor is not. As you suggest, GDPR does apply to all parties but that's a separate issue to policies.

9:00 When police keep needing names they are not following the law. The law exists to control the public AND the police. The law controls how far the police can go to keep the peace. If the law does not specifically allow the police to do something then when they try to do that something they are abusing the law. The law does not allow the police to get people's names except in a few very specific circumstances, such as section 50, driving and after arrest.

Whatever the outcome of this, the fact is that you don't have to help the Police with their investigation. I would just walk away and leave them to it.

You don't have to give your name or address unless you've committed a crime or they suspect you of having done so. They can randomly ask anyone on the street for their name and address but you're not obliged to answer.
