I've been riding bikes a long time .. I've been stopped a few times. Those times I was stopped I was on a sport bike.. For the last 8 years I've been riding a goldwing coast to coast several times never been stopped.. Cops will profile folks on crouch rockets . That's why I'm winging it now.

In regards to the earplugs, you just have to say it's hearing protection, but in all honest you're going 70 in a 45 so you're at his mercy. the pipes and tag and everything else doesn't matter because he is going to impound you bike because of the reckless driving charge your about to get arrested for? He didn't get arrested though, The cop told him from the start he could have someone pick up the bike or he could have it impounded, he just couldn't drive away on the bike itself because the license was "suspended"

The Cat ... Depends on the state... In most states speed does not automatically dictate what is considered "reckless" driving or reckless endangerment. For example, going 3 or 4 MPH over the speed limit in a school zone can in most cases warrant a reckless infraction. OR doing 30 over on the Highway in the middle of the night with no other traffic on the road, with just end up in a speeding ticket... SO it all depends on the Police officers interpretation of the situation. If the rider was doing 70 in a 45, and not swerving in an out of traffic... then most of the time it is just a speeding ticket.

I wear a flip-up helmet by the way and it seemed at least three times within the past couple of years to calm the cops down by immediately flipping it up! I once was pulled over for going 10 miles over , and then previous was doing 85 in a 55 for only 3 seconds before I turned to make a turn in to my my home. Third was making an illegal turn out of a park into the street! Seems like they like to see who their dealing with, without having to go through the motions like a motor vehicle. Or maybe it's because I'm an old dude and they know I've gotten my fare share of tickets in my life. They all let me go with a warning! Thank you so much police officers They can be human! Yeah, I’m somewhere around 2-19 for cops being nice to cops being cunts during my encounters with them and I try to be as approachable and friendly as possible. Like any other person who has a title. Bosses are expected to boss not take advantage of people, doctors are expected to treat its patients with honesty, not lie to them just to have them come back for more checkup because it means more money, mechanics are expected to address the issue not fool around and say job done just to have them come back because it brings more money. When you carry a title you are expected to act as what you represent.
