So nothings really changed, 22 years ago my mg metro got stolen, reported to the police, friend at work went home for lunch, walked down his lane.. and there it was, in the ford slightly burnt out, and then I had to pay to get it recovered before scrapping it. Police didnt do anything. 3-4 years later I met the kid who was then a late teen at a house party. That was awkward.

Police did nothing when mine was stolen, they did deploy a stinger on me when my plates were cloned and I'm still waiting for £135 to replace the tyre they destroyed over 14 weeks ago

A situation happened to me and the family where our house got broken into but luckily the group of robbers only stole specific shit like 5k worth of jewellery which mum valued deeply. Called the police when we had just gotten back from a quick hour drive from Manchester (it was me, mum and some same age cousins) and the police just never arrived. Our house was completely trashed but oddly enough they neer stole the imac, large tv and other stuff. They seemed to be only targeting small and easy stuff but yeah mate the paranoid feeling I get in our new house we moved into a year ago still gets to me. Its a new housing association area which isn't bad but if you go down a little its yeah no just not the place u wanna be in. Due to me being so paranoid I beg mum to get cameras and stuff just incase idk to ease that fear a little and we try to bond with our surrounding neighbours as much as we can just to receive any future support if stuff ever happens. Police are never busy are just talking alot of bs. Small things are responded to quickly, but shit we are completely powerless over are just thrown over their shoulders. I respect them serving communities but yeah nah, need to step up their A-game if they wanna make locals all friendly and shit Glad you got the car back, it looks beautiful and fun. Been thinking about installing those retractable bollards on the driveway to stop people driving my car out. We sadly live in dumb world where I feel most people are stupid or have something against others

My car was stolen Audi s5 I think the car manufacturers should be held accountable similar o the diesel fiasco they know the standard security isn’t adequate and companies like autowatch and pandora have better systems that can prevent theft by relay they are cheating the customer

Also to add to this, insurance policies that we pay to have 'PROTECTION' on the car INCLUDING THEFT. When you mist claim in a case like this, they fk you over massively with higher premiums and extra charges over something that is highly unfair having scummy little pricks just take your hard earned property

My fiesta st was stolen about a week before yours, since getting it back (which the police found it 1 hour after it had been taken) iv had a new door lock and latch which were damaged in the theft, an immobiliser and a disc lock. They took the car so easy though so im still worried they could come back. My car was in police impound for 2 weeks waiting for forensics…found nothing.

The police are known as pigs for a reason……might as well signal Batman- you got more chance of him helping! Glad you got car back but as suggested get a ghost protection and tracker at the very least if not then wheel and steering wheel clamps when not in use! Little story about the police. They only act on 1/4 Traffic Offences If you get pulled for speeding, Tints whatever it is. Never EVER reply to that letter saying you're guilty. Theres only one reason they want a confession from you and its because they dont have the man power to actually act upon these Offences. When I rang them they wasn’t interested at all, all the did was give me a crime number. The police are useless imo.
