As a former law enforcement officer, I learned whenever you detain a suspect, you must always be diligent and aware of the individual's mannerisms. If you look closely, the heavyset woman was behaving unpredictably from the very beginning. Personally speaking, I would have taken her car keys and have the engine shut off before I allowed her to look for said items in her vehicle. That's just common sense.

This was 7 years ago. What surprises me is that the girl in red recieved one year and the driver 7 years. I watch a lot of these videos and I'm usually just flabbergasted that a lot of these kinds of things end up with person breaking the law getting a very easy sentence and either no bail or a small cash bond. Hate to be critical of police, but you make a training video of what not to do. Leave keys in ignition? Let suspect back in driver's seat of deadly weapon. Why didn't they spin her out about 20 miles earlier on 3 good tires. Put a lot of lives at risk. End of chase, exiting police cars without boxing in suspect....
