That means the left lane isn't a special lane for guys that want to drive faster than everyone else, just stay out of it if you can't keep up with the normal flow of traffic (if you're pulling a trailer or can't reach that speed when climbing a hill) If someone is doing 65 mph in a 65 mph speed limit and there's someone tailgating them for "not getting out of the way" it's the tailgater that will get a ticket when they drive past a cop I live in one of the few States that say you should stay out of the left lane except when passing, but it's a recent law passed so Cops can pile on one more ticket when someone fails to get out of the way of an emergency vehicle when their lights are flashing.

Challenge accepted says the Z06 driver. Turns off traction control and let's the tires heat up before he says cya later. Turns the traction control back on to performance and hits the gas. 0-60 in under 3 seconds and quarter mile in 10 at 130MPH. That's not modded either! I am not sure, but I would assume that the officer would have to identify the driver which he could not in this case. The owner could say that someone stole his car. Its because it's Arkansas, they are notorious highway pirates, especially if you have out of state plates. You could be keeping up with traffic and they will single you out, because out of state people are a lot less likely to challenge a ticket. Most of the police chases you see are in Arkansas, amd most of the videos where a cop does an unnecessary pit maneuver is in Arkansas. They once pitted a woman traveling with her kids and flipped her SUV. She was being pulled over she slowed down, moved over to the right lane and turned on her blinkers, there was no shoulder to pull over so she kept driving searching for a safe place to stop, amd they pitted her for "fleeing" after she slowed amd activated her blinkers to acknowledge the officer. You are incorrect, sir. I saw that same video, and she had plenty of opportunities to pull over and refused. She then claimed afterward that she was looking for a safe spot to "pull over." The officer even pulled alongside of her, and she didn't stop. If I remember correctly, she even passed up an extremely well lit gas station but claimed she didn't feel "safe" with all the blue and red police lights literally driving right on side of her to try and get her to pull over. She was 100% in the wrong.

Nice to see the Vette get away. I had one cop in Oregon follow me for about 20 miles one night on a 2 lane road and nd finally pull me over and telling me that I crossed the center line which I knew I didn’t. I owned the car for 16 years and I knew how to drive in different road conditions.

So corvette looks like it’s getting passed by a pickup with that “you shall not pass me” syndrome, cop singles vette out, does 100 without emergency lights/sirens. Glad to see the vette got away. And dang, looks like where I live, not one person but the FedEx gets out of the left lane. There’s only a select few officers in my area I respect, and actually treat people with dignity. It’s pretty bad when you have to argue the speed limit with the cop, who’s wrong, with a sign 1/4 mile behind us, and you have to go to court for the judge to say the officer is wrong.

Pevehouse had a legit reason to go after them in the first place, or whether he went after them because the car looked interesting and he was going to use the temp tag as an excuse. IDK about Arkansas but our cops here in Louisiana absolutely love stopping people under the guise of "no license plate" when they have a clearly visible temp tag in the back glass.

Yea, I’ll bet that officer, knowing he was on three different cameras all the time, was willing to risk his job, a civil lawsuit, and potentially criminal charges by stopping a car without PC because it “looked interesting”. Good point. Maybe, just maybe, license plates need to be mounted on the outside of the car per the vehicle code because it’d be too easy to reach back, remove it, then go do some dumb stuff.

This is a case where the cop should have let him go. They had the description and the plate and eventually they probably picked him up somewhere down the highway. But that cop running 120 on a surface street was just flat out terrifying to witness. He hits somebody or the suspect hits somebody and likely everybody in that wreck is either crippled or dead.

Here in the State of Washington police pursuits like this one for a traffic infraction are not allowed by law. In fact, the only case that a LEO is allowed to pursue is when it's a violent offense and that offense was witnessed by THAT LEO.

That's a great law. Chasing people at over 100 mph in traffic is a danger to innocent people. But cops always find ways to circumvent the law, so they're probably still chasing people for traffic tickets. Police do whatever they want with no accountability.

Dont see the vette chases often same as most motorcycle chases. Because they are over in such a short time period. 😅 Watching the Corvette disappear like that so quickly was nice to watch, shows ya how much faster they are than the chargers and stuff that we always see fleeing in 20min chases. This vette was long gone as soon he hit the gas it was over.
