My dad has performed two PIT Maneuvers that exceeded 100+ MPH in his life long career in law enforcement. He was the instructor for our states law enforcement training center Forsyth for many years teaching officers how to perform a perfectly executed PIT Maneuvers at both low speeds and medium speeds and high speeds that exceed 100MPH. He taught as the EVOC instructor as well which is a fun class. But agencies do and have performed PIT Maneuvers at over a 100 before. Especially here in Georgia with the Georgia State Patrol lol. They don’t a damn how fast you are going they simply don’t quit chasing you and will not under any circumstances terminate the chase for no amount of reasons lol.

It seems to be a common chord among these young perps that as soon as the immediate drama is over, they’re so nonchalant and only concerned about their own comfort. I agree. Back in the early 1990s, I got arrested for reckless driving (yeah, it was bad enough that it went beyond a ticket and became arrestable, talk about going momentarily stupid at age 20; I was DAMN lucky that I only walked out of court with a $200 fine and 2-month license suspension). Only time in my life I was ever arrested, that was one too many times. I was just sick about it and that was with nobody getting hurt or vehicle damage. I agree, kids now think that when they're put into the back of the cop car, that's the part of the arrest where the cop becomes a waiter and they place their fast food and large drink order. Little sociopaths, it's like they don't believe something is real even when it's something they did and are still standing at the scene of what they created.

He expected them all the they out and scatter. The fact that two of them didn't try tells me more than anything they AREN'T hardened criminals. What was he supposed to do anyway? Stay and face the felony music with his friends when he saw they weren't going to run? Fight the cops off for them? He is the one facing the highest charges, he can do literally nothing to help any of them by staying, why would he not run? You would have to be an idiot not to, as long as you are committed to trying to get away with your freedom. And after fleeing in the first place he would be stupid to just give up for such a dumb reason. Might as well try to the bitter end, if you already are going to be charged for it.

When they were trying to run on the tight, curvy back roads, the chase could have gone either way. The Trooper's car definitely had the horsepower and skills of a trained driver behind the wheel, but on those roads there are too many unknowns around every corner and over each hill. But once they got on the interstate the Trooper had all the advantages then. He had to be smiling. "Yeah, you're in my backyard now."
