Sorry it took me so long to get back to you but I have everything coming out of my mixer Mpc is plugged in USB to the computer and controlling the MPC software got my audio interface select as my mixer in the software

@@komplex_the_producer2819 I would go left and right out of the MPC into your pre-Sonus interface Plug your MPCUSB to the computer so you can control the software In the software click file in the top left corner Go to preferences under edit and under your audio select pre-Sonus interface and you should be good to go

@@komplex_the_producer2819 no sir just run the audio through the pre If you’re using a different software to record under your computer just select the pre-Sonus as your audio interface and you should be good 💯 If you’re going completely Standalone with no computer at all plug everything into your pre-Sonus out of your pre-Sonus into the MPC

8 ins and outs (with sub mixes!) is one the best features of the X. This makes it an effective standalone DAW as oppose to the Force, which is more like a workstation synth on steroids. 💪🏾

Ho to channel mixer On the bottom select the tab that says route on your MPC screen And from there you can select the outputs from the back of the MPC or where are you want this sounds to come out 💯

That is correct the MPC is its own audio interface 💯

I’ve got an external hard drive with tons of music on it, can you transfer music from that drive to the eternal drive you can get for the X? Does the USB read external drives for transfer? Thanks man!

Yes sir you can literally drive and drop it into your MPC after you install an internal drive.

You should have XLR outputs to your speakers, if not just go to the main left and right out 3/4

Ok, I've 8 hardware synthesizers I want to plug into my mpc x, how do I do it?

Okay the only way I've managed to do this is with and external mixer into the MPC. go midi out a into a synth and polychain the rest together so when you hit one note all 8 synths trigger back into insert 1 /2 On the x. if you don't have a mixer with more than 8 channels the MPC is only going to pick up for input at a time.

Yes you can although the MPCPC does have phantom power

poli hope your well mate ? im trying to get my mpc x and force to work together can you explain to me how you link up your x and force

The best success I've had so far to use them Ableton link.this will allow you to play your drums with your MPC in your son parts with your Force or vice versa but it will be in the sink

@@PoliPopo when i use ableton link i cant get any sound out the force into the ableton at all ? the mpc x was easy to sort but the force seems more tricky. i get them both to link etc but no sound from the force even when i press play on a pattern in the force nothing coming through?

I had to run mine through a mixer to get sound out of it I couldn't get sound to go into Ableton but it would come out of the force in sync with the X

@@PoliPopo cool man so you just ran the rcas out the baxck of the force in to the mixer and the same with the others and made sure the link was active etc? so all i need to do really is run my force through my mixer then like the djs1000 i have . i thought i might be able to link it to the mpx then open ableton and use the mpcx as a vst and cmbine both force and the x in the ableton project but its not been as easy as it sounds haha

Honestly if you already own the MPC X your money would be better spent on a decent mixer than an audio interface. Even a cheap mixer would be money better spent. What's the point in having an audio interface when the x already has one. You could probably even argue you don't even need a mixer. They can just be fun to play with depending on what features they have.

💯yeah the MPC has a nice little mixer inside but me personally I passed through a soundcraft mtk 22 channel to give it more analog sound

You can use up to 4 inputs at once. Not 8. Next time you’re gonna do a video about only in- and outputs at least check that please.. got me over exited :( it still is a really really really nice machine though :)

Got me on this one💯 thank you I didn’t realize it. I’m used to going into a 22 track mixer and two inputs one and two on the MPC must’ve gotten confused.But thank you very much watching and pointing it out it is important

@Poli Popo haha I agree it is at least a bit weird that it actually hás the 8 inputs, but you aren't able to use them all at once.. I really would like to see this, it would be so damn nice to be able to use the MPC as an FX processor & sequencer for multiple synths/instruments at once, and record your set at the same time, on separate audio tracks.. I would probably sell both my kidneys if Akai finally makes a device that can do this :P I just wanted to point that out for people who might want to use it like that. also, thank you for your tutorial series on the MPC :)
