Wow! Thank you so much! I was finally able to find my great-grandmothers home village of Horodyszcze, now located in Belarus. I just have one question, what are we supposed to do with this information? Like yes, it is really cool that I found the correct location but now what? Should I write a letter to the parish? Or, maybe use other databases that focus on the location I am interested in? Once again, thanks for video! It was very helpful!

The Polish side of my family hails from the Kresy (present day Lithuania and Belarus). My grandparents originated from Wilno but found themselves on the move during much of WWII. My mother was born in Głębokie (present day Belarus). As with the postwar resettlement of ethnic Poles, they relocated to Wrocław. When my mother immigrated to the states, her birth in the Kresy did create some minor complications because of how govt agencies interpret "country-of-origin". As a result several documents list "Soviet Union", "Russia" and "Belarus" as country of origin/birth.
