It works great on dark colored paint, not just black. I just used it on an 18 year old truck with dark ford blue metallic paint. The truck was left in the sun for 10 years (stored in the backyard non-op) without any protection, which left the clearcoat with thousands of hairline cracks. The paint is practically in a junkyard condition. I did a full prep, strip wash, iron decon and clay barred. I wanted to test how well the polish work without compounding it 1st. I was surprise! This stuff works like a true 1 step. It did not completely remove/fill the hairline cracks, but at least now you cant see it unless you're within a couple feet and really looking. I am now going to do the rest of the truck without compounding it. The protection is also their, it is very slick to the touch like your typical Si02. It is deep and rich like a carnauba wax. I am very impress! It also works better using less, less is more! I typically use 2-3 dime size dots (after priming foam) on my foam polishing pad using other brand, but TW black polish would cake, it was a mess. I find 2-3 pea size dots was just right. I will be topping it with black wax after 24 hours.

Oh yeh totally! This works on any dark paint! That’s awesome to hear that it made that poor neglected paint so glossy and slick! I love one step products like this for trashed vehicles.

Excellence in motion. Great real world review. Water is by design part of the whole Turtle 🐢 Wax Ceramic line. It activates the finishing characteristics according to TW when I wrote them. I love it. Your work was so fast and effective and the polish really worked well. "That looks incredible" comment on the rear window/roof panel was totally right. That is hard to believe how fast you got that level of results. Another great too on using a spritz of water, that is definitely now in my routines and it makes so much sense. Thanks.

You just made my day with this great investigation and results. Eager to get these products in Black since still waiting for the non Black version to be delivered by mail. Because of the curfew in the island, stores like Advanced Auto, Pepboys, Auto Zone are still closed to purchase them directly. Xoxo from Puerto Rico 🤙👍🇵🇷

Those results blew me away. It’s like an AIO mixed with an acrylic glaze. I wonder how long it lasts before the deeper swirls start showing again. This seems like a great product for older black cars that might be on the verge of clear coat failure and just can’t take more aggressive correction anymore. Thanks for the demonstration.

I'm glad you mentioned that you can use the Black Spray Wax after using the "regular" HS Ceramic Polish & Wax, that's what I think I'm going to do on my Camaro. It's in the body shop right now for a little fender bender and I KNOW it's going to come back swirled up (don't they always), and I just might try the HS Black Spray wax after re-polishing it with the HS Ceramic Polish & Wax.

At the end nice comments and comparison between the untouched and the correction. Again it looks great, is it 100% corrected? No, but most owners want it to look great and this proves it's worth IMHO. Perfect finish on cars is a myth, at least if you drive them .

I found the spray tough to remove once it dried - so figured in the future I will remove it right away - I had the habit of doing "each side" all at once, so not a good idea.. Going to try the polish in the spring - just about to order it. My hope is that it will last longer (spray did seem to last a long time) .. and be more forgiving for my somewhat lazy application.
@nicksdragon6929

Phil, another excellent video. After watched my top detailers, 5 of them have noticed something that the others didn't. On the Black Ceramic Spray they all noticed that if they applied it and then continued to wipe and even after using with the dry side of the towel "before it clouded or hazed over", the results were nowhere near what they are if you let it dry to a point that you see the hazing as it drys or white clouding, similar to what it looked like in the days we used wax when it hazed over, obviously not that extend thought. So, when you wait for it to fully haze and then buff it off, is when the filling properties of the product comes alive and the difference between the two ways to apply it was remarkable. I couldn't tell whether or not you let it haze and if not, I hope you get a chance to see the difference. Thanks for reading and I loved the extra footage on Carpro eraser. Great information. And I totally agree "It still looks amazing, it still looks awesome."
@MirandaDetailing
@MirandaDetailing 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks. YesI did let it sit for about a minute or so and let it take it time, it doesn't really haze the way people think, not like the old waxes. but it does dry a little so you can see when it's ready to wipe. In this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/faSpqWacpr59eck The spray Wax preforms differently indoors and not in direct heat and sun. It wipes off super easy. But I wanted to see how it reacts in the sun and heat on black paint to get the full flavor of what these products and do. Even without the minor filling capabilities, the polish actually does correct, the pigment and such just adds that extra pop on black paint! I love this stuff! 😎👍

Hi Phil, I’m always looking for products that play nice in the sun, my light silver truck is to big an tall to fit in the garage, I’m a disabled veteran and just work on my own cars so as you can imagine I work slow, I’d love to see products that can be applied in the sun on light colored vehicles, great video 👍😁

Hi. Pretty much 90% of our products can be used in the sun and heat. In fact even products that say not to use in sun or heat can be if applied correctly. We use Meguairs Hyper Wash with no problems, Megs D301 Finishing Wax, and the D300 Correction Compound. Many spray waxes and sealants can also be used in the sun and heat. The new Hybrid Solutions line in great in the heat and sun.

Great video as always question how can you tell when paint is soft when polishing?
@MirandaDetailing
@MirandaDetailing 4 жыл бұрын
Hi. Thanks, If the paint clears up quickly with a light polish then it's probably pretty soft paint. If it takes a long time even with compound and a cutting disc to get the defects out, then it's hard paint. Basically when the swirls and defects are difficult to remove its hard paint, if they are removed pretty easily, then its softer paint.

How can I strip waxes and sealants as a mobile detailer? I’m scared of having a aggressive soap dry on the panel
@MirandaDetailing
@MirandaDetailing 3 жыл бұрын
Hi one way is to do an APC Rinse (All Purpose Cleaner) or with a degreaser diluted 4:1 rinse the vehicle, spray the apc/degreaser on the paint and let it dwell for 30-60 seconds or so. Just dont let it dry. Then rinse it off and continue washing with whatever soap you like. That will help break down old waxes and sealants. If you dont want deal with chemicals like that, another way that may take a little longer is to do a very light polish with something light Meguair's M205 or 210. It will gentle remove any protection and also prep the paint for any new wax or sealants.

Phil - Would you use the polish in a non-corrective way by just using it with a finishing pad and skip using an abrasive pad? Thoughts?
@MirandaDetailing
@MirandaDetailing 4 жыл бұрын
You could, but the polish and wax and the black version both like to be worked into the paint and broken down, they respond better that way, almost like a diminishing abrasive polish, even though its not technically.

It’s difficult to find a good spray wax/sealant for DIRECT sunlight. Most sealants l use like to smudge. Which normally is solved by a clean MF. Although most colors even in direct sunlight are fine. It’s really just the black man. It heats up sooooo much more than other colors.
