Nice work. This is pretty cool. I always enjoy attention to detail like this.

I am a detailer who just bought a C-5. One of the things I plan on doing is the bright work. I watched your video on changing the bushings, and balljoints. It warmed my heart to watch you polish the bright work. I think you should apply a ceramic coating so you can keep it clean going forward. Cheers

Wow....lots of effort Chrisman. Wish I was still young enuf to do that sorta stuff. It turned out beautiful tho. Wonder if it would do BC any good to spray the parts all over with something clear...maybe a lacquer based or similar? Anyway, nice work! 🤜🏻👏🏻

I don't suppose corrosion is a problem in Arizona but did you research the anti-corrosion treatments the OEM may have done for those suspension parts before polishing them?
@mycorvettelife4 жыл бұрын
They are aluminum.

Did you clear coat these to prevent from reoxidizing? Pretty cool project!
@colemcmeans78094 жыл бұрын
looks good, i think yours is cleaner underneath than mine is on top. can wait to see how the other project go

I would still recommend coating/painting these to help prevent corrosion even though they are aluminum. Some POR-15 and VHT with a heat gun+box does just fine.

How long do you think there going to stay looking like that? To me it was complete waste of time and energy.
@mycorvettelife4 жыл бұрын
Long time. I did the front side of the spindle and upper a-arms 3 years ago (without taking completely out) when I first bought the car and they still looked good before I took them out.

Hi Chris Love your show big fan just move here into Phoenix I see places that was filmed on your travels with your friends driving through Phoenix like to see where for a good Chevrolet dealership that you recommend within Arizona arec ? And the other thing where is the good link to find out where the car shows even though the virus is going around we could still have distancing within the car shows can you lead me into the right direction I thank you again

Car meets are pretty much all word of mouth. Certainly most of them have been canceled recently. As far as dealerships go, I personally have had good experiences with Van Chevrolet in Scottsdale.

Chris, I enjoyed your video, just one recommendation, please wear a dust mask of some sort, all that aluminum particles end up in your lungs brother and later in life cause you health issues. Keep them videos coming, loved them.

AHA, I finally found someone as anal, aka Detail Oriented, as me!🤦🏼♂️🤭👍 I'm guessing after de-greasing you wire wheeled, then used a sanding disc and finally buffed with jeweler's rouge? If I was judging the C5 Class in a "Cleanliness and Presentation" judged show, it's things like this that I look for, especially in the case of tie-breaker. Have you found a spray on product, like maybe just a clear-coat, to spray on the parts to help preserve all the hours of hard work and possibly aide in future cleaning with just using a pressure washer? Save the Wave🙋🏼♂️
