The black OEMs just look super basic. The bright silver on this light blueish white is such a good combo. Hopefully he finds other wheels that fit in a bright silver

These types of videos by far are your best. I have to say the audio for the video is incredible. Very very clear. Like that.

I know you recommend the 15mm Milwaukee, but I think I'm going to go for the 21mm. I love my smooth RUPES LHR15 too much to not use it. The 21mm cordless will be nice for the roofs and hoods of trucks/SUVs, plus my Dad has been bugging me to polish some of his farm equipment. Going to need the extra jam and pad size to break through the single stage oxidation and get across the large flat panels quicker.

what an amazing garage. is that all for your car? OMG those brakes are massive! I feel the same way about scratches, I weigh the need to fix it over the fact that I am removing some amount of the car. I know it's weird, but every scratch is evaluated. I think you would understand. And I have no problem leaving the scratch if it does not make the eval. diamond theory...

So what happened with the carbon roof, didn't see any B-roll at the end when showing the finished product, so I can only assume the roof's carbon clear coat/epoxy was still damaged from the peeling of the paint protection film...?

Hey Matt. I really enjoyed the content of this video. I am just curious, do you use a detail brush at all? The reason I ask is because since I have gotten back into detailing over the last couple of years, I watch a lot of content on KZbin. Nobody uses a detail brush anymore. Do you just use an IPA wipe down to get everything out of the cracks after polishing?

You are only technically polishing glass if you are using cerium oxide. And even that isn’t much. Compounds don’t polish glass or at least not enough to matter

Great series, thanks for the great content! The Flex wireless… have your feelings changed on that polisher? I caved and replaced a 10 year old meguiars polisher for the Flex XFE15… the lack of a cable was fantastic. I will say you can feel the power sag a little on the polisher to where I needed to run it at speed 5-6 to get the performance I wanted, but man was it much more enjoyable (quiet and less vibration). That in combination with the smaller 3” flex cordless is a dream to work with over cables despite some minor power limitations. The one in this video is the Milwaukee cordless maybe? (Looks different on camera to me)
@ObsessedGarage
@ObsessedGarage 2 жыл бұрын
I do think the XFE15 will not be used much for me now that the Milwaukee is here. It is much smoother, but is underpowered.
@bobekdj
@bobekdj 2 жыл бұрын
@@ObsessedGarage the Milwaukee is underpowered relative to the flex? Or the other way around? I’m sure having one battery system is a huge perk
@bobekdj
@bobekdj 2 жыл бұрын
@@peterjohnson8631 Sure I figured as much. Was more curious comparing the cordless to each other (5”). I also have the 3” Flex and I have to admit it seems WAY more powerful given it’s size, whereas the 5” seems to not have the same oomph if that makes sense.
@ObsessedGarage
@ObsessedGarage 2 жыл бұрын
The Flex is underpowered. The Milwaukee has loads of power, but vibrates you pretty hard.
@bobekdj
@bobekdj 2 жыл бұрын
@@ObsessedGarage Thanks! that is what I was looking for. Was debating on returning the FLEX 5" for a Milwaukee (either way new battery system for me since I am pretty deeply invested in Makita from the last 10 years and really don't want to switch everything, even though for new cordless people I steer them to team Red these days). I think the thing I like most about the FLEX ones so far is how smooth they feel compared to my old Mcguiars polisher i've had for years. Would you ditch your FLEX for the Milwaukee (I dont have a Rupes to fall back on though so it will be my primary machine)?
