One of the first things that will happen when parliament resumes is that the government will table a budget. The opposition parties will vote against it and the government will fall. Prorogation is a stalling tactic. That's really all it is. This government is done. Trudeau simply is going to drag it out as long as he can. The Senate isanother story. So, even if they find some one that wants to take the pilot's seat on a plane that's pointed straight at the ground, parliament won't sit for almost 3 months. Within days of their return the government with "x" as the new prime minister will fall and the government stops for up to 3 months for an election. All the current problems we face (created by Justin) get ignored for 6 months, all so that he can say "I didn't suffer the worst election result in LPC history in 2025". And the LPC has ALWAYS tossed any leader that loses an election, so whoever wins the party vote will be thrown out after getting to put "PM for 3 months" on their resume. All of it is a waste of time to stroke his own ego instead of calling an election and Canada gets to function again in as little as 45 days.

There was a decade, between the miid thirties and mid forties where there was a certain German leader. He was very popular at the beginning, less so as time went on. His management style was such that he didn't really listen to anyone but himself. If you disagreed with him, you were replaced by someone that wouldn't question him. He was a dictator. Over time, he and his policies became harmful to the German public. And as things deteriorated he completely lost touch with reality. He became delusional, remaining steadfast in his beliefs, beliefs shared by fewer and fewer of his own people. His political career came to an end in a bunker in Berlin in 1945. When he went down, he took the whole country with him. It took decades for Germany to recover from the mess he left. Does anyone else see the similarities?
