sounds like more of a politician than a true academic 4:08 The wind on their back ? WTF? The FED has 20% cumulative rise in inflation for the past 3 years ... easy? Inflation has decelerated, but the cumulative effect is still massive. To say the FED has no real control over the interest rate seems nuts.

The FED controls interest which means for consumers it is car loans and home loans and maybe credit cards but for most people it has limited impact, people with 30 years locked in rates, people who own homes with no loans outright own it (40% of Americans) people who drive used cars or paid off cars, people that buy cars with cash, people who pay off credit cards every month, they are not exposed to the higher rates. You have to actually go and get a new, higher rate loan to be exposed to the FED's hand.

I doubt Trump will do anything to the Fed. But just him talking about it shows, nothing is sacred in DC to him and it shouldn’t be to us either. Shake it up Trump!
