@@samcherry4741 Pretty sad and ridiculous how the music of the US underclass and it's struggle against capitalist oppression got appropriated by Capitalism in the end and is now one of it's most well sold musical commodities. Just like how Chinese sweatshops make Che Guevara shirts that sell like hotcakes in trendy shops all over the world. Capitalism destroys the soul and meaning of everything, just to make another buck.

@@rust44 (even tho I don't agree with your reply entirely, I'd still add) Well, can you blame them? Living under global capitalism for over 200 years and the brainwashing, demonizing and smearing of everything left-wing, especially in the US, kinda creates a knee jerk reaction of ignorance. It's not like when we talk about Capitalism, everyone jumps in with their 2c to say "Capitalism enslaved entire continents and races, committed genocide of indigenous people and holds everyone except the elite under economic slavery" or "Capitalism kills almost 20 million people a year due to BOTH malnutrition AND obesity, as well as lack of medical care for easily preventable or treatable diseases" not to mention the hundreds of conflicts waged for resources around the world so that the rich can get richer. Say Communism however and it's exactly like that. People have no fucking awareness of how biased and ignorant they are. They just take everything they hear for granted and sigh in apathy in their cesspool of ignorance and lack of self reflection.

The Reason they are not promoted to the level of those others, even though they've contributed AT LEAST as much to the genre as the others, is because their message is actually dangerous to the billionaire class. They are the only ones who educate and have actual solutions, they are a real danger to the elites and they will not be tolerated because of that! The elite are much more willing to let self destructive messaging and general rage serve as a pressure valve, but actual real ideas that expose the way the lower classes are being screwed? Hell no! suppress that shit!! - Said every damn CEO ever

Thaddeus Ghostal the problem is democracy. If there were no officials to bribe then the corporations wouldn't be able to buy legislation that protects them. Let them compete in the wild without laws just like everyone else and see how far these fat cats get with out our tax funded police force to enforce their billshit laws. Let's see Enron attempt to raise an army and invade the middle east on their own.
@drewdaddy213

That's beyond stupid. Government is the only lever the people have to check the power of the wealthy. They literally WILL raise armies, check out Blackwater (now Adacemi) for a first world example of a private army and the situation as it exists in Somalia for what a land without government or laws looks like. Warlords rise up and oppress the people worse than any legitimately democratic government.

@IsaacBaranoff " In a free market, the quality of the product is the judge." This ignores the complexity and nuance of present conditions. Does the quality of product always take precedence to the advertising of a product? Inferior products never have a higher demand? "Anyone who tries to make money is a capitalist." That still doesn't work - this is a capitalist society: anyone who tries to make money is trying to survive. Is anyone that wears panties a woman?

@IsaacBaranoff "Under capitalism, you earn what you deserve" - this is the most blatant form of false propaganda... it basically says that the poor are that way because they deserve to be poor. And that investment bankers work so much harder than construction workers or day laborers? What insanity. Why do the people who OWN 60 percent of the capital not have to pay 60 percent of the taxes on it? (Instead, the people in the middle shoulder a majority of the burden with low compensation.)

I don't think govt services means socialism tho. Socialism means workers own the means of production. Socialism doesn't really have anything to do with govt. There are obviously Marxists and others that believe in socialist reform through the govt, but Anarchists like myself believe in no govt, yet still have socialist plans like workers owning their own labor.

You will only see this for a little while because he will put so many negative comments that it will disappear. This is a non-inflammatory statement, so if its voted away, this will prove my point- since normal users wouldn't do that. Question is: what is he/what are they so afraid of that they censor comments?

@IsaacBaranoff I do, in fact, know quite a bit about Capitalism. Capitalism is a system in which the means of production and accumulation of capital are privately owned. There are various forms of capitalism. It is not a narrowly defined system. Just as democracy has many forms, so does Capitalism. Direct democracy and representative democracy are still democracies. As far as a free market... we do not have a command economy. A true "free market" will always result in monopoly.

Afghanistan abuts Iran. So while it's not *technically* a part of the Middle East, to imply that it not being part of the ME makes it any less important with regard to oil and gas policy (particularly since it's likewise adjacent to Turkmenistan - owner of substantial Caspian natural gas reserves) is to make clear either your ignorance of the subject or your mendacity, and perhaps both.

Take the Enron CEO at the time, Ken Lay. @IsaacBaranoff That's a market. Capitalism also employs other necessary attributes - private ownership of the factors of production, corporate divisions of labor, and distribution of wealth often by output or property ownership. You can have a non-coercive exchange of goods and services under Socialism - the goods exchanged would just have to be produced by a democratically owned firm. The merits of this are arguable.

Where in the history of human civilization has a completely "free market" been successful? To claim there is no society without capitalism is a great example of false consciousness. To point that it is better than "places where people trade women for food" is true. Having parents that neglect you is better than parents that beat you. I fail to see relevance.

Really? Because I seem to notice that workers only get paid a fraction for what they create, while the bourgeoisie profit from it. In a true socialist society you earn the full product of your labor. And by the way, not all socialism means a totalitarian government. I'm opposed to that as well.

I wouldn't agree that pure socialism doesn't work, and also it depends who you ask about being paid the same.In the spainish civil war the workers loved it because they were typically paid far less.But I don't know anything about that thing with Isreal but whatever it was I'm sure it isn't nearly as bad as they are now.However, I can probably bet they didn't have pure socialsim which, at least in my opinion is absence of state.
