Absolutely brilliant ,the way the interview is taken and the answers given. Both are so rooted in the richness of our civilization and proud of it, that it seems to come naturally speaking about रिद्धि and सिद्धि , philosophically and as wives of गणेश. I knew that our life expectancy in 1947 was low , in the late 20s ; but in the few minutes of the interview I was saddened to know that for a girl it was 21 years of age. And I also like the way it is explained that even though we were so poor at that time, we didn't delay making progress in science

Great interview. Don't really agree with Dr. Desiraju's assesment regarding fusion. Fusion is nowhere in horizon. Fission is a good bet though with all the monazite we have. OPVs are the way to go as we move beyond the global peak oil sometime next decade. We are already in the plateau. Coal isn't coming to save us either. With oil, coal production decreases too. In an energy scarce environment relative to the past, post the peak, it's a no-brainer to go for fairly high conversion efficiency, moderate lifespan and low epbt.

Not very inconvenient questions. everything that needs to be discussed in a one hour conversation was discussed and congrats on keeping it classy. Policy makers need to heed advice of experienced hands. Hope they're watching this one and make amends . Thank you to both the Professor and to Anand Venkatramana , Hope to see more of Anand on this channel. hope a lot more people holding power watch this one. As Anand put it things in the west are also bad in many areas but this bureaucracy high hand in India is unbelievable and seems to be growing stronger.
