Any body who thinks of justifying orop should try to understand the scenario right from the base level of the concept. Those sitting under a fan or cooler or A/C can"t understand the pain a defense person undergoes. This is because the service personnel are well disciplined while the babus are not. As such I request such persons to go through the problem taking the pain one takes on duty.(1) Working hours and facilities provided for so called ' babus' when compared with soldiers or any defense person and the life style deference between those two...... like ..... leave, married life, children brought up, looking after dependents at home, and facilitation of leaves and the way they are granted etc. etc. when war takes place then see the fun: civilians apply for leave, if not sanctioned they go off not bothering the consequences but that can"t take place in the case of a defense person. Last but not least is attending the funeral of parents also lies in the hands of some superior officers. i am ashamed to state that the marriage also takes place as per the rules and regulations. Now think whether the OROP should be paid as per the request of the retired soldiers or so called "Babus" who enjoy their job in peace time and war time alike? Jai Hind.

pension wef 01 Jan 16 vide 7th pay commission was reduced to low by introducing new rule of giving 50 percent of last pay drawn on retirement/ prematured retirement instead of giving 50 percent of the last pay scale of the rank as it was being given prior to 01 Jan 16. Therefore pension of retirees of later age gone down in comparison to those retired earlier. Now OROP at exact and correct calucation can not be worked out. To reach on a solution pension of earlier retirees be upheld to their correct and lawful entitlements and thereafter pension of later retirees (retirees wef 01 Jan 16) be brought at par.

As a air veteran who have served in iaf from 1960 to 1986 may .the service men pension was 70% of last basic pay drawn or average of last ten months pay plus da .OK orop does not raised then .it was the Delhi brocrates who has played dirty work in sixth pay commission to increase their pension to 50% while they have reduced defence pensioners fixation from 70%, to 50% .then all this came into focus generals and air officers were de graded in pension fixing I lowering the status after retirement .orop granted earlier though can not be criticized whole but there was some omission and emission were there .retired person we are not serving but retired so the money value loss is being compensated by da sanctioning by govt .only the govt should not tax them in their pension even though they have no other earnings after 70 years .

I would like to ask that the people who took premature retirement are not eligible to get pension. Yes. They should not be given any pension .A person joining the armed forces are bound to sign the terms and conditions as.per the provisions contain in Army Instructions .Army Orders and Army act and instructions issued by the defence ministry,Army Headquarters from time to time.The person who took PMR will get good job and they are young and they come under the ex servicemen quota.
