What exactly are news bubbles and how do they occur? In this installment of our Politics in Practice video series, Alison Dagnes, Professor of Political Science at Shippensburg University, discusses the issue of confirmation bias. Pointing out the various ways by which news consumers can choose to only seek out news they already agree with, Professor Dagnes warns against the comforting cocoon of our media bubbles and the way in which these bubbles can lead to epistemic closure.
