"Lobbies" are both groups which offer the government kickbacks to consider legislation and also a word for the main foyer of a building. There is not actually such a thing as a lobby lobby. In common parlance, the phrase "opening doors" would mean that a lobbyist could make introductions, change their constituent's minds, and generally make things easier for the politicians. However, if the lobbyists we are talking about are "lobby" lobbyists, they might just be opening physical door, really not the same thing. @justmy-profilename2 жыл бұрын
@@danielhopkins2277 The Greens are the only parliamentary party in Germany with any quota for woman, and overall it's still much more likely to get elected into parliament or office when being a man. And that's surely not because women are less qualified than men - exceeding the usual qualification standard isn't a tough bar to clear, and can't explain the disparity. Also "direct" vote in districts is still heavily biased towards men in the parties' nominations for districts with favorable winning chances. Btw. the Greens high quota of at least 50 % (*) women on their election lists was created with the intention to have a counterweight to the other parties (at the time very) low percentage of woman (* men may only be on even list positions, women can run on odd and even numbers). If you're worried that the statistics actually ever swings to the opposite: German parties are also allowed to have a similar quota for men.

I love how you can take a serious topic that can cause discourse and yet have everyone laughing. Hilarious. I kept hearing lines and saying that’s the best one all the way through.

Fahntastic Statistic Since yesterday FAH now has twenty sketches with more than 1M views. This is 5 percent of all their sketches. About 9 percent of the sketches have more then 750K views and almost a quarter (24 percent) has more than 500K views.

Brilliant, the 2 yay cards and 148 nay cards is so true. It's the one thing that frustrates me most about politics, opposition parties being just so incredibly negative and obstructionist. It's just plan lazy.

A great sketch again. There is a real boardgame called „Junta“, playing in the Republica de las Bananas. If you want to make your best friends your worst enemies, give it a try. It’s really fun, but sometimes it’s hard to behave.

only if you are very young. governments do this every five to ten years. Mali, Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan,, Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, Armenia. And these are all within the last ten years. This list would take up the entire comment section if it got extended to thirty years.

But it kinda made me Anxious (and not really the boardgame one) I've gotten my birthday wish and am now a patreon of yours. Haven't really had time to check it out since then, because lots of dumb things to handle immediately popped up everywhere all week, but soon I'll come around. Looking forward to it 😊 Edit: Props to the prop department!
