Mel Stride is spot on: everything he listed is happening. And the reason is: the tories. This sutiation now is what the Romans referred to as "salting the earth": the tories/cons made sure the country is in a bad situation as possible for Labour. Frankly they should be sitting in prison for what they did and not as opposite in parliament.

@@lestrem11 you know reform want scrap the NHS too and the average cost of health insurance over a year in America is $7500. That tax change would barely cover the insurance costs if we ended up like America. And how do they propose we fund this 20,000 tax threshold? Only way would be to bring in a wealth tax and there is no chance in hell they would do that. They don’t care about the poor or the lowest paid workers if they did they wouldn’t suggest an insurance based health system.

I wish people would focused on the good the labour party have done so far: * Like sent more illegals back then the Tories have in 4 years, employed 1000 people to work on the backlog of immigration. * Resolved disputes within the private and public sectors such as NHS, Railway workers. * Raise the minimum wage for three million low-paid workers and to retain the triple lock for the 13m state pensioners, mean that most of the poorest are now a little better off, that also creates demand within the economy. * Fast tracked policies on workers rights * Renters rights stopping no fault evictions and giving renters better rights in general. * Legislated to improve the water industry. * Improved international relations. * Launched a strategic defence review. * Strengthened environmental policies * Launched improvements to public transport. * Strengthened police response to violence against women and girls. * Published the Product Regulation and Metrology Bill to regulate product safety. * Published the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill. * Published new rules on online safety. * Published a Green Paper on industrial strategy. * Plan to recruit 6,500 more teachers. * Piloting new training for Community policing. * Piloting free breakfast clubs in 750 schools. * Allocated £3bn more for Ukraine. Allocated £500m to local Warm Home grants. * Allocated an additional £550m for pothole repair. * Appointed Covid Counter-Fraud Commissioner. * Created cross departmental Child Poverty Taskforce. * Created Skills England to reform training and apprenticeships. * Created the Women’s Justice Board. * Launched Domestic Abuse Protection Orders. * Launched legislation to remove hereditary Peers from the House of Lords. This is in just 6 short months. This is just some of the things they have done compared to the damage Tories have done in 14 Yrs of power and now the MP's left the Tories to join Reform to continue there recklessness.
