Polkas actions seems like a paradox but it can be interpreted like this. Even Nous has a limit of processing power, expanding the knowledge too fast will make the Aeon lag and Finality to come faster. By folowing Nous calculations the universe will be fully compiled when the Finality comes.

The Himeko and Polka connections are definitely interesting, but I think if the minute chance of Polka being or being related to any character we know were true, then it would be Seele with all the butterfly and huntress themes. More specifically, (forgive me if I’m wrong about a lot of details since I don’t know much about HI3) I think Polka would be a Veliona expat and one of Seele’s ancestors. That would also finally explain why Seele’s eyes turn red without Veliona. Besides, imagine Polka having a child and abandoning them to serve Nous in some butterfly effect way for that child to then repeat the cycle, especially since they were likely born in the Underworld. That would also make Seele and Bronya similar in that they have villainous older relatives. Regardless, even I’m dubious about this theory, but I still think it’s something to chew on, especially if there are more Polka and Veliona connections I’m not aware of.

Y'know my only issue would be the inconsistency of Polka and Himeko's age, Polka is damn near ancient due to being one of the FIRST Genius Society members, and Himeko was implied to fix the train around her teenage/early adulthood years, and Polka is a FIRM Erudition follower while Himeko very firmly follows Trailblaze, it wouldn't match up with either of their characterization, but.... If Himeko was guided/mentored by Polka somehow, it would make a bit more sense, although linking both of them feels off without an in depth guide to Himeko's backstory

I think it is imperative that one must rotate their understanding in order to gather the true story. Imaginary numbers or lateral numbers as they are referred to refer to one fourth of progress of a cycle; that is all. In memory of chaos for example, cycles 2-infinity are 150 AV. So a quarter turn is equivalent to (0.25)(150 AV)= 37.5 AV. Thus, the imaginary unit (-1)^0.5 is mapped to 37.5 AV in a unit circle. Characters like Bronya who action advance your character by 100% results in a full turn or (-1)^(0.5 X 4)= (-1)^2 = 1. Thus, your character has now completed a full turn in the action circle. Note that there are two cyclical quantities within gameplay that involve the manipulation of imaginary numbers : AV and turns. Turns represent the proportion of progress until a character can act again represented through angular speed (angular frequency) represented through the speed stat. AV refers to the proportional of the specific cycle that repeats. Both cycles and turns can be expressed through angles with a pi/2 angle referring to the imaginary axis. This pi/2 angle or 37.5 Action value is in my opinion crucial for understanding the story in its whole. In lore analysis and theory crafting, oftentimes information concerning gameplay is not included which hinders from absolute understanding. This is because the imaginary tree is commonly interpreted in hoyoverse games as a hub for all imaginary numbers; however, complex numbers are more encompassing and explain a lot more phenomena than merely imaginary numbers. Hoyoverse has never explicitly mentioned any sort of complex entities through connection to the complex circle (more powerful than the imaginary tree) even though such complex exponentials exist in the form of cycles and oscillatory functions. Personally, I wonder if polka kakamond has seen past the imaginary facade and is aware of the complex plane. The connections to Aha the Elation make sense due to irony and sarcasm being a huge contributor of laughs. In particular, Dr. Ratio commonly utilizes a sarcastic tone, wears a mask, and is affiliated with the Intelligentsia Guild which is similar to the Genius Society. Perhaps Dr. Ratio has been consulting with Polka Kakamond as an attempt of irony and sarcasm against the society.

If I remember correctly, Himeko's backstory was in the manga featuring Welt and Void Archives (I don't remember the name), and story short at least partially her past is the same as HI3 Himeko's. Something like "what would be, if Himeko became an engineer instead of valkyrie". So, her being Polka is very unlikely in my opinion. Kafka is more likely as there really not much information about her, thought I'm not sure either

This was my favorite story line within the Simulated Universe and really had me thinking on what they were trying to hint at in terms of Genshin with Tyvett being 'the circle/egg/world of knowledge' and everything outside of it being 'forbidden knowledge'. The primordial one seems to have the same motivation as Polka. I also recall the references to 'Plato's allegory of the cave' during the summer event between Sumeru and Fontaine. Also, the Herta vs. Polka conflict aligns with Socrates analysis of the man returning to the cave;' the free prisoner would think that the world outside the cave was superior... 'he would bless himself for the change, and pity [the other prisoners] and seek to bring the cave dwellers into the light. The returning prisoner, whose eyes have become accustomed to the sunlight, would be blind. The prisoners who remained, would infer from the returning man's blindness that the journey out of the cave had harmed him and that they should not undertake a similar journey. Socrates concludes that the prisoners, if they were able, would therefore reach out and kill anyone who attempted to drag them out of the cave.' Except, in this instance, Polka has seen revelation along with Herta and is doing everything possible to keep the cave dwellers in the dark. Edit to add: The plot line being an allegory for the continuation of Socrates & Plato's cave theory also explains why we cannot see her face. She exists on a different spectrum of knowledge therefore we are unable to interpret it since we lack the perception.

I don’t think Polka is the strongest or an emanator. It is just her “Genious” is pushed towards finding the most efficient ways to kill all the variables. Her theory does not need to create anything, only to destroy all that is trying to go outside of existing calculation. In a sense she is much more dangerous then any other living member, but i don’t think she can face of against The Herta in “open field”. Of course not in literally open field, but on the neutral grounds. But she is a very real threat and one that will not stop. She is even more of a hunt than Alliance.
