Trump doesn't get undercounted in polls. Citizens answering phones and taking time to answer questions are generally older, Trump's type voters. Also, Trump has a handle on many polls, just like he does on media outlets. Many of the polls are based in red states, Texas, South Carolina, Florida. Best advice: Don't bet a pound on Trump.

I've been following American presidential elections since 1964. One consistent trend I've noted is that presidential candidates who call for raising taxes always lose. Always. Usually very badly. Americans hate taxes. On the other hand, I can't recall a candidate who promised to cut taxes who lost. The Brits still have a serf mentality and have been conditioned to believe that they should gladly work hard and give their money to the Crown,. But not Americans. Neil asks if policy is playing any part in this election. It's ALL policy. 100 percent. Americans are very intelligent and very well educated on the issues. They vote on the issues. Period. The media wants to make this about personality and into some sort of media circus. But Americans pay no attention. Nobody cares about Trump's personality or his personal life. Or even if he's been convicted of a crime. We're not hiring a preacher here. That's his business. All that matters is that he is right on the issues.
