It's been a while since I watched Vento Aureo, but IIRC Bruno didn't really do all that badly against anybody other than Secco, and he was a zombie at the time, so potentially he could have been weakened. Sticky Fingers is an awesome stand, very strong and versatile. Besides, it isn't as if he was greatly dominating against Giorno in their fight. You could definitely argue that he had an edge, but Giorno handled himself insanely well despite having almost no fighting experience with GE...although GE is admittedly a VERY powerful stand having crazy potential even without requiem.

This is kind of a crazy speed feat when you think about it. Stands can’t just carry you through the air, they need some sort of leverage from a physical object. Otherwise any stand user could fly. I believe what Polnareff is doing here is having Silver Chariot jump from the ground rapidly to keep him suspended.

Stands are usually proportional in power to the strength of their user, so if Iggy were given a humanoid stand, it would likely have the same effect as it would a humanoid user. We know this from the Alessi fight, where Silver Chariot grew weaker as Polnareff became smaller and younger. As for the point about breaking Polnareff’s back, I disagree. Although a stand would need physical leverage to support its user, they still have the ability to accelerate or slow down midair. Silver chariot could be slowing way down as he gets to Polnareff, allowing him to be held up without being shot into the air. This is backed up by the fact that he does indeed leap further into the air, and given how wispy Silver Chariot appears while it holds Polnareff, it resembles an afterimage much like the ones that appeared when he made multiple copies from sheer speed.

King Crimson and Epitaph work by showing what attack is going to happen and then allowing Diavolo to avoid that outcome by (how I view it) fast forwarding himself to the point where the attack has passed him and he can strike. Polnareff couldn’t attack him because Diavolo’s Stand made him nigh-invincible.
