Polonez (Poloneise) was a reincarnation of Fiat 125p - a car assembled in Poland based on Fiat 1300 and Fiat 125 under Italian licence. In 1978 a new car with bodywork designed by Centro Stile Fiat was introduced, still based on the old 125p. The car remained unchanged in production till 1990, when first serious package of changes was applied to it. The Polonez Caro was born and remained in production till 2002. From 1990 the car became better thanks to foreign components like Lucas braking system or Rover engines offered as option.
