Yeah, women who play rugby are just built different! 💯 Rugby is our national sport in NZ 🇳🇿 so we start playing it pretty young here. I never joined a team but learned basics during P.E classes. When I was 11 our teacher made our class play boys vs girls. The boys didn't take it easy on us and I got my first black eye. My Dad was proud 😅 But I never played again 😂

I played rugby for six years back in the day and it could be pretty brutal. However, the secret to not being killed is you don’t put your head down you lead with your shoulder. Also, there’s no blocking in rugby so that helps prevent a lot of head injuries. Likewise no forward passing helps prevent it as well. And you know, when you don’t have a helmet on, you take care of your head a little bit more carefully.

Saw an intramural game at Middle Tennessee State University. I liked it, but my wife LOVED it. Afterwards, they hung out and had a beer between the teams. My wife said those are some tough bitches. Soccer is a Lady and Gentlemens sport played by Hooligans. Rugby is a tough ass sport played by Ladies and Gentlemen.

Those are some tough players. "Beautifully disrespectful" is a great description of rugby tackling! It's my home country (New Zealand)'s national sport. The advantage rugby has over its American relative (American Football) is that it's pretty much non-stop. No huddles discussing plays or breaks every two minutes. It's like a non-stop highlights reel.

If the Womans U.S national 7s side is in your area for a game you should go see them they got bronze in the Olympics. In 7s there is usually a tournament with a few games being played so it's a good day out.
