If you want to try the spreadsheets for free, the link is in the description.

Where is it on your site? The link goes to the home page and it’s not clear where to go from there.

Who has learned a new language thanks to this method? I understand that the author sells his courses, but still I am interested in the effectiveness of this method.

Literally every well documented language learning method uses this technique in some form or another. Technology, AI and computer software has just made it 1000 times easier for the average (lazy) consumer. You could literally copy his method for free. Repeat it daily for 1 hour (over a week) and you would answer your own question. This is the world we live in.

He's being honest, but he also said that after a while, it does become more enjoyable. Plus, this method works well, so it's worth disciplining yourself to do it.

Do you have that spreadsheet to share?

I’m sorry, did he say “it’s not fun for the 1,000 reps?!” So you need to go through a 15,000 line spreadsheet thousands of times? That sounds more time consuming than he suggests.

Input only is not enough… finally people are saying it

Incorrect. There are some people (not all) that can purely listen to easy to understand content and over time assimilate the language. But this is not everyone. The clear pathway to learning a new skill is identifying the method that makes sense AND is enjoyable to you. Because there is no short cut. Its going to take 600+ hours regardless of what you do, to get to a real base understanding of how a language is understood and used in day to day situations.

Ya memoricé 50 frases. Pero no esas, las frases las saco de otro lado. Esas frases son demasiado básicas para mí. Aprendí como unas 100 palabras nuevas en inglés aproximadamente este mes. No son muchas, pero algo es algo. Calculo que a final de mes habré memorizado unas 200 frases. Las memorizo y las aprendo a pronunciar. Lo complemento viendo, leyendo y escuchando contenido en inglés.

Hello, I just bought your course a few hours ago. Since then I ve been trying to translate sentences on excel. I watched different turorials on youtube, "how to translate on excel" I can get a translation on the right side of my page in a small window but I cannot copy it into the right column. When I type: " =googletranslate..." it doesn't work. I bought excel especially for that. Do I need a specific version ? How can I translate my sentences? That's another topic but I don't understand why you don't provide the sentences, especially for spanish... to be sure to get a correct translation... which won't be perfect with google translate and which is not perfect either on glossika. I'm disappointed about that. Thanks

Regarding your first question, the function " =googletranslate()" only works if you are using Google Sheets, not Excel.

Mikel presuming in both cases you give yourself immediate feedback, what are the advantages and disadvantages of the two options: (1) native language to target and, (2) target language translated to native. Answering my own question is 1 for speaking and 2 for reading / comprehension. Thoughts?
