Wonderful video! I like that you titled this "Trying to Speak" instead of "I Speak 5 Languages " or something like that. I appreciate your modesty. Being an English speaker, I was surprised that I could kind of understand your Dutch 0.o I guess the 2 languages are closer than I thought. There are too many polyglot videos that don't live up to its title and I understand how annoying that could be... Indonesian is actually a really easy and simple language to learn! It just sounded fast because I tend to speak fast sometimes.. .__. but thank you so much for subbing though! I'll definitely post some language videos in the future because that's what my channel is about :) Are you currently learning a new language? :D What languages do you speak?

Excellent video. It was funny and at the same time impressive to hear you talk in Dutch. I am born and live in the Netherlands. We Dutch people talk very loud or at least that is what I heard from people who do not speak the Language themselves. The impressive part was that you talked with the right volume in your voice. The thing that I noticed was that your accent didn't match the Dutch accent (but you only lived in the Netherlands for 1 year). You did a great job talking Dutch and I really enjoyed your video.

To my English ears, her accent is American - particularly around words like ‘ninety’. But every so often one of the sounds/words will be slightly off (from that accent) - something I probably wouldn’t have noticed if I wasn’t trying to (eg at 2:28)

Judging from your comment your English is actually very decent. I used to learn Mandarin as well when I was in middle school, but same like you I've forgotten everything by now :p if you're interested, you could perhaps try watching some asian movies/cartoon/dramas with subtitles. It actually helped me a lot in understanding Mandarin back then!

In Canada we use the direct translated words, so if you don't know what the proper word is French you can just say the English word pronounced with French sounds. You're French was kinda slow, that's ok because you're not influenced nearly as much being in the states, also your rolling of the R isn't half bad either.

Aku juga adalah orang yang sangat suka belajar bahasa. Bahasa ibuku adalah bahasa Kanton dan saat ini aku bisa 13 bahasa(termasuk bahasa Indonesia). Akir-akir aku lagi belajar bahasa Indonesia otodidak. I'm Indonesian girl. Since 2006, I got a job in Taipei City as Caregiver. Now, I must to speak in The Mandarin Language at work place. Sungguh menyenangkan belajar bahasa asing, jika bertemu Bule menggunakan English, jika bekerja menggunakan The Mandarin / Chinese Language, jika beribadah (saya Muslim) menggunakan Arabic saat Baca Al Qur'an. Juga bisa Dasar French dan Dutch, sesungguhnya belajar bahasa asing lebih mudah dipraktekkan jika berada / tinggal diLuar Negeri dalam waktu lama. Semangat belajar.

Jou Nederlandse is heel goed. Ik leer de taal omdat ik getrouw met Nederlander ben. En je hebt gelijk, Nederlandse taal is moeilijk. I feel you ;)

Your Dutch is good! Generally speaking, you can stick to the English word order! But accent is fine, that's where most people struggle!
