I really enjoy seeing someone else's meal on the internet because you can see what people eat all across the world. That's one of the reasons why internet was created

This is humour and poking fun at very specific parts of a community

Este nivel de franqueza es refrescante en la comunidad. De una manera u otra nos empieza a dar una pauta a seguir para cualquier novato en la comunidad.

I can relate to a lot of the things she talks about, I love it. I think the reason why there are more male hyperpolyglots than female, it's just because men are more inclined to get obsessed and engrossed in a certain hobby, discipline, work, etc... I've seen quite a few very good female polyglots in the internet, though.

I think there are probably similar numbers between both, but men are more likely to seek recognition, so they're the ones you hear about.

at 48:45 I''m really not sure that guy was joking - rather just repeating platitudes about gender.

Well, I hate people posting pictures of their breakfast because I think it's dumb, but that aside the internet is a great invention for sure.

Good for you, you don't say you "speak" 20 languages.

It should be "the philosophy of polyglottery" .

I think that "a philosophy" is ok because she is talking about her own philosophy, not necessarily a single big philosophy that everyone follows.
