In Malay, daerah=kawasan=tempat (place). You can use either one in the video.👍 Daerah & kawasan (place/region, etc.) are often used when we are talking about a bigger area, which includes areas which boundaries are determined by the government, e.g. sub provinces, etc.

haha yeah. that happens with my Portuguese and Spanish as well. I tried catching my mistakes in the subtitles but let me know if I missed any (I'm sure I did lol)

@@polyglotgrace that is okay because we Malaysian also sometimes mix English Malay Mandarin and Tamil in one sentence without even noticing it. The key is that sending and receiving message, a tool of communication and if use your this style of mix, even slight difference, you can get by just fine in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Brunei. Of course perfect Malay is a must to 'master the language' as you wish for and since you already have the basic, you can only practice while having a sparring partner that will point out the mistake.. other than that, listen and watch Malay content. Keep up the good work. Oh most obvious yet overlooked is Beda (Indo) = Beza (Malay). Also when we mix language, we called it as Bahasa Rojak.. and I believe you know why its call Rojak there 🤭
