POLYMER CLAY & EGGSHELL TUTORIAL: THE STRAWBERRY BASKET EGGSHELL DESIGN #1

I loved your tutorial and you’re continuously adding more highlights and interest to your project. It’s very cool that you used an actual egg but I was wondering if it would be easier to put clay over the eggs and cut an oval opening out of the clay layer, then after it’s baked, crack the eggshell and remove it from inside. 😊

Hey Miss Sherrilyn!! Thank you for your kind compliment!! Bless you lady!! And I like your thought process here!! It's a possibility I have never attempted, however, when you go to crack the rest of the opening into the shell with the clay around it you will risk the shell cracking unevenly inside and the possibility of the entire eggshell coming out. But, if that is the intent and you just want the clay left behind...definitely a possibility!! There are many ways to deal with eggshell in polymer clay...I suggest trying your way out and experimenting!! It sounds like fun and let me know how it goes...would love to see what you find!!
