Guys, I’m not sure what is going on, but a few people have said there is ZERO sound on this vid. I’ve played it back on all my devices, and it works fine. This issue is not with my vid, itself, and can only assume there is a KZbin glitch/problem.

I have worked with natural crystals and stones for 40+ years. Your faux stones, even with the plaque inclusions, are the closest to natural stones I have seen. I now have an affordable alternative for my clients. You came through loud and clear. Video sound is fine on all of my devices also.

Your decision to add that tiny bit of black made a huge impact on your design. I love all of the inclusions, too. It was fun to hear you talk a bit more. I’ve always enjoyed the fact that you shared your experiences, and I especially love your rants because I’m here, alone, at home and telling the screen how much I agree with you. When you cut the parallel lines into the layers on the trans block, do you repeat the indentations in the same aspect, or do you turn the block in a systematic or random manner before you make the cuts ? Other words: do we have to pay attention to where the parallel cuts are made ? This is a very worthwhile tutorial. The end result can be used for more than jewelry.

It’s UV resin, so you just use it straight from the bottle. Everything is listed in my Amazon storefront. You will also need a UV curing lamp.

I love this technique and especially the orange. Great tutorial once again! This reminds me of citrine which is my birthstone. I like it best with subtle coloring so I would probably make my colored sheets paler. I like the plaques too. It adds to the textures. I’m thinking for this technique of faux stones the Premo translucent is the way to go since it cures with a yellow tone. Glad you suggested the option of using clay to color the translucent as I don’t have alcohol inks. Beautiful ring Deb! Thank you for giving me a good look - those hand movements… you sure you’re not Italian ? 😘🤨

Hi Deb My sound is perfectly fine. I wonder if you might give me some advice on resin with translucent clay. I know you really like translucent clay and your projects with it are beautiful. Whenever I include translucent clay, even a small amount, I can't get the resin to cover. It migrates from the edges and leaves holes in the middle!
