Sorry for the sideways shot. Something wrong with my phone :-)
All info needed to make this is in the video.
A few alcohol inks and cernit Translucent clay. you can use any brand however.
Hope you like it

I love all of your jewelry! Your favorite mokume gane earrings were my favorite too. I've been making jewelry and collecting beads for 19 years but haven't touched a bead since Christmas. I don't do shows anymore but am getting ready for a back surgery and am hopeful that I will again. I'm 64 so I better get my butt in gear before I run out of years. LOL! I've just started working with polymer clay and have a lot to learn. I so much appreciate your videos. I will never copy, only be inspired and love your style! I am a symmetrical lady too. Can't do random to save my life! Best wishes for a fabulous show!

It's hard to get moving sometimes. Get your back taken care of and hopefully the inspiration will come when you're feeling better.

Your videos are so good. The process and materials are clear and the pieces so pretty. 🤔 I’d make sure however, that I actually have the materials for the project before taping.

Love seeing all the things you have made❣️ The variety of your necklace designs is inspiring!! I imagine you are going to have a great show as all your pieces are so beautiful and different. Cernit clay is very sticky. I have a hard time using it for beads because it is hard to keep the shape and it gets defined fingerprints very easily no matter what I do but I do really like the translucent. I see people have suggested putting it in the fridge before you cut and cutting it on the tile because the less you handle it, the better it stays in shape. I have found both of these strategies helpful. I like this technique that you did, they turned out beautifully!! Thank you for sharing with all of us- very fun to watch 💙🧡💜💛🤍💚

Good to know that using cernit will distort because of how soft it is. I have only used translucent for the outside edges of flowers. Thanks for the tips and comments

I cut cernit on the tile and do not move until after it cools from cooking. And it is real soft and sticky! Some times I have to leach before using. Love your tuts thank you so much for sharing.

This came out loveley. I believe if you had cut it on the other axis you would have seen the chunks as oppose to the striations. Cernit is a very sticky and soft clay.

I love working with Cernit. The translucent is rather sticky. I usually will cup my pieces out on my tile. Less chance of sticking. I really love your colors though. ❤

Really pretty, tfs and found out my sis in law can’t go she may be heading to Florida for her job. 😭 what a mess that is going to be, last time they went for a hurricane or storms it was a 3 month long trip for them, she made bank but it was crazy, and they have 3 times less employees now. So that’s going to be interesting for her. And her first grand baby is due November 5th so she may not get to see her until she’s a month old. Crazy crazy crazy. Tfs hugs from AV

I roll and cut on a 12x12 tile, and if the clay is too soft and sticky I pop it in the freezer for a few minutes.

When my clay is soft like that I put it in the fridge, and cut it on my tile I’m baking on.

I’ve used cernit a lot, and I find that it does get sticky if you work it too much.

I've not used Cernit but have heard many artists say it's '..just too soft..' making it difficult to work with

Cernit is sticky when soft. Put the cane un the frudge for a bit before rolling.

Thank you. Will try that. Honestly though, the color wasn't any more translucent as premo coming out of the oven so might try this again with Premo

So U don't get the stripes, try mixing the alcohol ink through each pile thoroughly, not just coat them with the ink, if that makes sense. Gorgeous colours

The translucent separates the colors. It was perfect when I cut it but because I didn't get much copper from the cut, I changed it. That's where I went wrong.
