Silver Clay
Black clay
Stamp of your choice
Flexible blade
Rigid blade
Wet/dry sandpaper in grits of 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1200, 1500, 2000, 3000
Renaisance wax

Thank you. My scan came back normal, thank God, but I’m now dealing with lowering my extremely high cholesterol. The statins I’m on are giving me side effects, so I just feel like I’m getting nowhere. Thanks for asking, though. 💕

I don’t know how I missed this, but I’m very glad I saw it in your video list. What a gorgeous pendant! I love your mica shift. I’m so glad you domed the top piece the way you did. I expected it to be fragile, but after your thorough sanding you showed that wasn’t the case at all. I had no idea you were struggling with health issues. I will keep you in prayer. I’m in rehab myself after my 4th hip surgery. This one was very invasive. Yet I find such peace of and with God by relying on solely upon his word. It’s my 29th surgery, so I know the power of God through the Holy Spirit and my KJV Bible. I’m wishing all the best for you as you continue your journey to wellness. You’ve offered all of us so much by sharing your talent and creativity, not to mention yourself. So many thanks for that. This piece is just another proof of your wonderful artistry. Love metallics and I happen to have gold and silver so I will try this tonight. My black is low but I do have pearl white so I will try it with that and I think I will also texture the white. I was a little frustrated with the burnishing I was seeing you and a couple people doing so I decided to try it and what a difference in my pieces! Now I know why you are obsessed with burnishing, lol. Definitely in my prayers Deb. May the scan be completely negative. I hate the anxiety that comes from not knowing ~ give yourself a little extra love today.

Thank you! My scan results came back normal. I’m just dealing with very high cholesterol and a fatty liver, plus high liver enzymes. Doctor has put me on statins, and I’m working hard to turn my health around. Other than that, all my organs are normal and functioning how they should! 💕

Thank goodness your cholesterol & liver were checked so you found out what's going on & what needs to be worked on/changed so that you and your doctor can start taking the necessary steps to start, well, working on & changing things right NOW! Of course it will be a gradual process & it'll take some time before seeing any drastic improvements, but stick with it & be patient with yourself & your body. I'm rather new to clay and I've never used the wax & buff finish (I usually resin). How long does the shiny finish last with wax? I'm picturing my coffee table, which looks great when freshly waxed but it doesn't last long.

I’ve got pieces I made three years ago, and they’re still shiny. If they get dull, just quickly rub on your jeans…shine soon comes back.
