Polymer Clay Project: Love Letter Pendant Tutorial

In this polymer clay tutorial we'll combine a Skinner blend mica shift, with a beautiful Pansy flower cane and some simple black ink stamping to create these beautiful polymer clay pendants.
You could use the veneer to create a similar multi-piece necklace, or use it to make cabochons, a statement pendant, a bangle or even a collar necklace. The choice is yours.

Hi Samantha, I love the look of the mica shift background layered with the pansy cane and the Love Letters stamp! As an alternative to Ice Resin, would curing a layer of liquid Kato or the new Clear Sculpey Liquid Bakeable Clay work as well over the stamped StazOn ink? Thanks for another terrific tutorial!

Thank you. You can use liquid clay (I recommend Kato as it seems the shiniest) If you're going to use the liquid clay I'd dome your polymer clay pendants instead of leaving them flat like I did (the resin causes a dome once cured)

Very beautiful results! I love your tutorials. A question --- do you think that the stamp pad is alcohol ink? If so, maybe I could mix my own color and use a fine sponge to dab onto the clay. I really don't know, just thinking aloud.

I don't think the ink in the stamp pad is alcohol ink, but alcohol ink could work.

This is so beautiful. I have noticed that sometimes the beads with resin are put under a UV lamp and sometimes they aren't. Can you tell me why that is please? Again, thank you for sharing.

Some resins are UV resins and require a UV light to cure, while some like the Ice Resin cures with out the help of a UV light. :D

I string my beads on accu-flex and it's quite flexible and comfortable to wear. It's about 0.8mm thick.
