Hey Melly! Yes, I've used both Sculpey Liquid Clay and Sculpey Oven Bake Clay Adhesive to bond two baked pieces of clay together with great success. I noticed that your 2 clay pieces looked very shiny on the back sides. Did you initially bake those 2 pieces on a tile or glass? The shiny back sides are slick & smooth. You'll have to roughen the entire surface up & give it some tooth with an emery board or sand paper. This will give the Oven Bake Clay Adhesive a surface to grip onto. Try it again & let me know how it works for you.

You know, I didn't even think about that! 🤔 Yes, I almost always bake on a shiny ceramic tile. You got me wanting to try it again...just to see if it'll work! 😆 I was thinking of trying again (on camera) & using different adhesives, liquid clays, etc. This was just a spur of the moment, in the middle of a project kinda experiment. I wanted to do more extensive experimenting 🤓 Thanks for the tip & thanks for watching & commenting ❤️

This will work. I also used Cernit glue to clue baked flowers to baked pieces. It earned for me. But roughen up both sides.

Hey! Good experiment! I've never tried to bond two pieces of baked clay together. I thought it would have worked, but it's good to know it doesn't.

Thanks. There are ways around it, of course...as I mentioned putting a border on it, or you can even put a super thin layer of raw clay between the two layers...but doing those things means that you're not actually bonding the baked clay to baked clay. It seems that a lot of people think you CAN do this, so I thought I'd test it. I wanted to know for sure because when I make a piece of jewelry, my name, my reputation, & my business are on the line! I'm not gonna do something I can't trust will hold up.

You're so very welcome...glad you enjoyed it. I'd like to do some more experimenting on this subject & also about the best way to attach an earring post. IF I ever get around to it 😆 Thanks for watching ❤️
