@Arjun Joshi Yeah, it's crazy how far they've come The closest thing they've released recently that matches their old style is their rendition of Inferno That all being said, as much as I'm a bit more biased towards older polyphia (muse era), I appreciate what they do and it always seems that wherever they go, it becomes a huge trend (e.g intervals from Libra to more recent stuff, chon etc.)

That's unfortunately modern human society for you. Musicianship and instrumental skills aren't as appreciated as back then (the 40s to 60s, when Jazz reigned supreme), or flat out underestimated. Dancing or singing are much more appreciated, sigh. If Tim and Scott did some breakdancing instead, you can bet that people would stop, film and share it all over social media 🙄.

They're just playing mainstream sounding pop stuff with just as he says.. "flexing' around it. And starting to get a little too much on with the mainstream stuff. Tosin created the new way everyone plays... Richardson is the one to progress it to the future.

I think they should write riffs they can flawlessly execute. The history of these guys live is them trying to keep up with their album riffs, and its not a great look for a virtuoso guitar project.
