I must say, I’m a little sad he didn’t mention my favorite tongue-in-cheek joke/Easter egg for legacy ranger fans: Tommy after officially becoming the Black Ranger mentioning he has to go shopping, since he doesn’t have much black in his closet. Presumably because it’s filled with green, white and red since rangers tend to dress in their ranger colors when unmorphed in the series. Thought it was cool they finally called it out. They do explain why Zeltrax doesn't make an army of White Rangers. The Clone starts dying because there can't be two identical powers in the Morphing Grid. So an army of clones would suffer from the same fate but even faster as the Grid can't handle so many at once

Dino Thunder was one of my favorite seasons, and since I found out about Super Sentai at that time I made it my first. I remember being surprised that Tommy was coming back since I didn't saw any previews and only read the summery from one of the toys. @@Knightfall-Batman well, Tommy was adopted and so was Trent, so that pretty much keeps leaving Trent for evil on grounds that he was too powerful for them to get close to from being justified or maybe, Jason could’ve hammered home to Conner that Trent needs their help as opposed to just a butt whoopin’ because honestly, if you’re going to justify your feelings of betrayal when a crucial piece of information was withheld (it does not matter how crucial that bit of information is), you gotta earn your reformed enemy’s loyalty, come on. Yes, a Team has no secrets, but they also don’t leave any one for dead, let alone evil.

My only guess for why Conner, Kira and Ethan came back to Reefside for a Reunion after a year likely has to do with the three of them being final-year graduates near the end of Dino Thunder. Which could explain why the High School was having a prom in the first place. It's basically their way of giving the students one final moment of excitement with their friends before heading off to college. As for the reunion being a year later. Certain school systems do allow that sort of thing (at least back in the day before it became an issue, since some places consider it a safety violation). So, the trio returning to school in 2005 isn't too farfetched either. However, it does make moments like Kira's singing career and Conner's soccer clubs a lot more confusing. Unless those were done a few months after leaving Reefside High. The only other explanation I can think of is that Conner and Kira dropped out whilst Ethan stayed on and finished his degree in engineering, which could explain why his technology was so important in the process of establishing SPD's Earth Base.

the irony of sentai purists complaining that dino thunder episode is making fun of abaranger is that the only thing power rangers is mocking are those fans. abaranger is being used as a metaphor for power rangers to make meta commentary on different tokusatsu fans, with connor being essentially a sentai fan, initially hating the show on principle because "what do they know about power rangers" before eventually appreciating it for what it is.

It's a shame this wasn't a season where more veteran rangers showed up. The technology could have been stated to come from Billy. Even have Hailey be a relative or friend of Billy (at least giving some respect to the character since David Yost wouldn't have come back at that point). Devin and Cassidy would have been good fourth and fifth rangers, and I think had the source material had the original team being five rangers instead of three it would have been that way. Also considering how they ship Tommy and Kat, I guess they were on a break? Had Tommy not been given the Black Ranger powers, it would have been good to see him use his older powers once again, maybe even create a ranger which was an amalgamation of his Green, White, and Red powers. I know what would require bespoke footage to be made, but it would still be cool.

I’ve said this once before on the original Version of this video and I will say it again: one thing I find most problematic about Dino Thunder as a spiritual successor to mighty Morphin is that some of the most important beats weren’t hit and yet the story treats itself like they were (if this version ends up being the version that gets to stay on KZbin, I can further elaborate on what I mean), when it got to SPD and the SPD Rangers were jerks to Dino Thunder, I didn’t believe for a second that he didn’t want them to get into any more trouble, two of the SPD rangers were orphans and they did not like that a fellow orphan was being mistreated even for deception. When I had my dad watch this season back when it was still on Netflix and he got to the episode Lost and Found in Translation, he claimed Power Rangers improved on its own Sentai counterpart.

Dino Thunder and Ninja Storm are top tier seasons, Wild Force is up there too. Change my mind. Wish we saw more of the original MMPR gang in Dino Thunder, like Kimberly, Billy, Zach, and Adam etc. They couldve cut some filler eps for those moments. I guess one thing I didnt connect until I noticed in Digimon, but they don't have a word for Dinosaur in Japan. I mean they do but call them "Dragons" in writing and Kanji. Actually adds layers to Tommy's and Jasons rivalry in MMPR, and Yuta and Burai respectively in Zyuranger

my headcanon for lost galaxy is that its time dilation. the colony was very advanced and left earth years ago. but is in the near distant future due to time being different for objects travelimg in space. we only hear that they are 14 light years away from earth so they cant get back and unknown to them is how long earth has moved on without them thus placing them in earths future because of reletivity (tommys summery of lost galaxy not making sense tho but i chock that up as just for the audience)

For the episode 19 crossover of "watch Abaranger in Dinothunder as a dubbed show", I understand that the purpose is to let North American audiences know some concepts of tokusatsu and get interested in making comparison between the original and the reverted, which is similar to videos of this channel. However, in that episode, Connor said "They are totally making fun of us" as a summarizing sentence for the first half to emphasize his changed attitude later... Again, I said I know it could be a reflection to show the process someone who cannot accept some new stuff finally get interested in it, but for a show which use original footage, original suits, original mech designs, and totally altered the style of the original show to make it more American, I suppose Connor better comment anything else but "They are totally making fun of us" because Japanese audiences are more eligible than Connor to say this according to countless historical failed or weird adaptions of Super Sentai to Power Ranger, from "why Titanius has used for over 3 seasons, and so-called American original mech final forms at first are plugging everything into Titanius" to "why they only keep cosmic fury mechs from Kyuranger but use original suit designs with Ryusoulger helmets that are (compared with Kyuranger) neither attractive nor featured".

TOEI is the worst, they have actually taken down Zyu2 videos that dub over the footage with Power Rangers sound effects and music. And if you know what Zyu2 is, it's not like you can even watch it by seeing Zyuranger seeing as it was the footage that was shot by them exclusively for Power Rangers (and some of which finally surfaced unedited on the Internet many years after the show originally aired).

Yes its a huge problem that plagued Megaforce and Super Megaforce. Some of the episodes would contain 2-3 episodes worth of the Sentai's plot and monsters making it feel rushed. Instead of having character growth episodes they just burnt through as much footage as they could. Not to mention all the appearances of the Sentai only rangers with no explanations on how the power rangers obtained these "legendary" forms. I know it would have been harder to do guest appearances by past rangers for Super Megaforce, but they should have had more character growth episodes instead of just having episodes of endless fight footage. Disney's seasons are very hit and miss, but they at least have episodes that let the characters grow and we follow their journey into the amazing teams they were meant to be.

The original version of this video is scheduled for removal as TOEI have claimed against a small segment and also rejected the dispute. I have contacted KZbin Partner Support and also filed a legal appeal. I'm hoping this re-upload won't be required as a permanent solution.
