When two poachers return to camp after a 3 day hunt, a member of their hunting team is brutally killed. The two poachers go through great lengths to find the man responsible, but when they discover it is no man, but a beast that they're chasing, survival is their only hope.
When three poachers are exploring the vast wilderness of Maine in 1856, a member of their hunting team is mysteriously killed by an unknown wild man.

Pomola is one of the peaks of Mount Katahdin, I've climbed it 4 times. Also Pomola is described as half eagle and half moose, a Micmac I met up there told us Pomola was evil and should be shunned at all costs. The "Sasquatch" of the Maine woods would be called a Windego, I think, although I wouldn't rule out Pomola also being a Windego. There are many ancient mysteries in the North Woods of Maine, Pomola and the Windego are but one.

You are absolutely right, that northeast and subarctic Bigfoot is the Wendigo, I saw one in 1972 in northern Minnesota. Lucky to be alive, wish i had never seen it, that's for sure!

That was funny as hell. Joking aside well done on the Irish accent! The script was trash but I felt the effort. Attempted character development and that's great because a lot of short films don't even try. Good suspense as well! The Irish actor was decent. The American guy's delivery was shite. Great job on getting it to really look like a period piece! One exception being the poor attempt at wrapping the knife sheath in leather. Could've done that a lot better, however I can't say enough how good of a job you did on production other than the aforementioned hiccup.

There is a theory ... that modern day American accents, are basically what the original English/British, sounded like. But over in Britain the accents kept evolving,to what they are today. But across the pond, in the USA, they kept pretty much the same, from the old country!.

Ok! The electric lanterns were tolerable but burying a body in Maine during winter is not. If it’s based on a true story then at least make it seem believable. This is after 3 minutes and there were many more “issues” with the film. Now it’s back to the movie, hoping it doesn’t get any less believable. I love bigfoot movies! I’m still waiting for a truly great Bigfoot movie. One more thing. I don’t think anyone in Maine during the winter of 1856 wouldn’t shoot a deer because it didn’t have horns???? Trophy hunting and killing only male animals is a modern thing. The people in 1856 were always a couple meals from starving and you can’t eat the horns anyway.

As it turns out Mr. Pomola, a.k.a.Bigfoot is quite a prolific writer having penned several tome's such as, Big Foot in a Little Foot World, Squatchin' with Squatchy and most recently his first cookbook, Cave Cooking Grubs and Tree Bark for the Sophisticated Neanderthal in Each of Us. This story was originally penned as a short story and submitted for publication by Mr. Pomola. He's currently co writing the screen play with Quentin Tarantino with the same working title. Who knew.

I don't get all these comments whining about the language in this film...really? In case you all are living out of society the word is used quite alot by all ranks and classes of people. It dates back, most say to the 1400s or early 1500s. Plus not one of you were living back when this story took place so stop acting like you know how these men talked. Considering they were three poachers out in the wilderness it's most likely that they used the word and probably did so often. Quit whining about it. It's reality so get over yourselves.

Right? Why did he kill him it made no sense whatsoever. I think he tried an explanation but his explanation made it make even less sense. I don't know about you but if I was a bad hunter and the dude I was with was a good hunter I wouldn't kill him. Plus he said he was tired of eating bread. His buddy must not have been much of a hunter either hence why it made no sense at all
