Thank you! Pompano seem to be in the area along with sheepshead at the moment!

Its funny to think about that here at Brazil's south we have the same fish, Pompano we call Pampo and the whiting we call Corvina or Mud Eater
@unchartedflorida17 күн бұрын
That’s interesting!! I can see why you call the whiting mud eater, with their mouth being on the bottom side they must shuffle around in the sand/mud. What type of bait do you use to catch there?

Nice as always!!!

Thank you for the nice comment! Have you been out fishing near Sebastian Inlet lately? 🎣🐟

@@unchartedflorida I've been busy lately but last week I went one day and got a 12-13 and 14" pomps and as many sand fleas as you needed. Going tomorrow and hope to catch dinner. Btw we ate last night at the ocean grill in vero beach and a pompano dinner (one fillet) is $48 but they did an excellent job on it.

@360tanman wow $48!!!! I’m sure that tasted great at ocean grill! Good job on the pomp’s! I will have to use that math: $48 times X number of fillets, to validate some new fishing gear! lol 😂

If you don’t mind me asking. Which beach was this? I typically fish Satellite, across from the base. Great vid. Tight lines!

Thank you! We’re usually just south of you, mostly between Indian Harbor and Sebastian Inlet. I’ve been meaning to try up near the base or even up near Canaveral. This video was in Melbourne Beach. Maybe I’ll see you out there! Good luck!

Great video, those are some nice pompano's 🎣🐟🐟🐟🐟 the migrations are definitely happening for y'all area with those warmer water 💦 Temps, 120 Days and we will be good here on the panhandle 🥶😢🎣🤔🐟🐟🐟🐟🏖️,, Stay Safe God Bless,,

Thank you!! We seem to be swinging between that 68-72 degree now along the coast. It always seems like Dec-April is a blend of the migration down and then back up near us. What water temp are you guys at now up in the panhandle now? About what month do they head back up your way? 🎣🐟

@@unchartedflorida am fishing Navarre Beach Florida, and Right now our water temps are ranging between 64 to about 66 usually late February to March we should start seeing early signs of the pompano migration with April & May in full swing , by then our water Temps are in the 70,s now if we get some warm days in between either of these months coming up to spring and our water Temps come up, with clean water we can get pompano's all year, but the migration really starts in spring , right now our outside temperature is 53 degrees,, Stay Safe God Bless,,

@josephjenkins7329 good deal, thanks for the info! I will remember to pack our gear next time we are up that way in late spring! We love the beaches up that way! Take care!

I really enjoyed your video. Last time I went surf fishing it was really rough and we didn't catch anything. But I'm looking forward to this weekend. By the way, where are you located?
@unchartedflorida18 күн бұрын
Thank you for the nice words! We’re fishing central Brevard county in this video just south of central Florida. We travel up and down the county and state depending on the season and water temperatures. We mix in offshore and Florida Keys fishing as well, trying to keep a good mix. Keep at it, I experience the same thing on a lot of rough days, they are so tough to fish. I put fish bites on along with my bait so in the rough water it doesn’t wash off as fast. Early mornings always seem a bit calmer to me. Hoping we get some good days again here soon!

Great day! I’m just north of you in Volusia and with the wind it’s freezing!
@unchartedflorida19 күн бұрын
Thank you!! I bet it is cold up there! It was down in the 40s here early this morning, must have been even colder up there! Are you guys still getting the pompano up that way?

Not yet, the wind reports have been horrible so I’ve avoided it. Def soon.

Ya gotta watch it when you're grabbing the hook with a bluefish on it. They're not called chompers for nothing.

Thanks for the tip, I will have to remember that!! I got my finger snagged by a mangrove snapper a few years ago and he wouldn’t let go after his fangs dug in! Had to use pliers!! 😬
