thanks! Actually it was pretty good for fishing. It looked rough and nasty but it was not. When is like that it's when the fishing gets better.

I caught more Pompanos on this day but I had my camera off thinking it was on. If you do come this way, try during the week because it gets crowded on the weekends.

How you like fishing there?

Hey John, Que Pasa bro. I like your videos because they show what people without a boat can do and you watch your sizes and respect limits. Your a Pompano Slayer. Looking across the inlet is the 4000 foot jetty where a lot of your videos are?? I've been checking water temp on the surf-forecast website and Matansas and St Augustine are at 65 degrees. Chilly this morning here at Vilano it was 50 when I woke up. Getting my gear ready to try your method of tipping hooks with live shrimp and jig for the Pomps. Brooklyn never had it this nice. Just be careful on those rocks. Some look slippery. Not too crowded at all. What day was that. Video date is April 2 so I guess you went yesterday the 1st. Clean water too for the Pomps. How far do you drive to follow the Pomp migration? Tight lines to you and your amigos. Gerry
@redsfishing-pescarojas7343 жыл бұрын
I went to the other side because the jetty is shorter and I figured more pompanos will visit that area as the water temperature has warmed up a little and the Pomps are beginning to migrate north. they should be by you soon. Rocks do not forgive and yes, you can get hurt but if you want to get to the fish you have to walk on the rocks. this was Tuesday and I stick with fishing at ponce, new smyrna and sebastian which is the further for me, 2 hrs drive. Tight lines bro!

@@redsfishing-pescarojas734 Jose, Told my friend about this video and he booked a boat for Wednesday out of St Augustine Inlet. Start out trying the St Augustine Jetty, south side for some drifts and if nothing then go to Matansas Inlet and try our luck there. On the way home try St Aug Jetty again. Got to check out the tides and hoping for some nice SouthWest breezes. Staying close to shore so if it is nasty, not too far to get back to the dock. Fish must eat in the bad weather also, like when you were getting soaking wet at Ponce Big Jetty...The boat is a 22 or 24 footer and we just pay for gas. My friend belongs to a boat club and he has been trying to get me on the water for years. Your Pomp Slaying just said to me, Get Off Your Ass and Go Fish. Here Come The Pomps. Jose was crushing them and there is no better evidence than seeing them get caught and no he said she said rumors. Keep them videos coming. Thanks Jose. PS. The water temp for Matansas, St Augustine pier and Vilano Jetty is 68 degrees. Thats the Magic Number for the Pompano Migration. Check out the KZbin videos of Larry Finch. He is from Jacksonville and has a commercial license and just kills the Pomps every time he goes. He is a beach fisherman and has been following the Pompano Migration every year for the last 30 years. If anyone knows how to catch Pomps along Floridas East Coast Beaches it's Larry. Wish I knew his secret spots. His Pomps look HUGE.
