Pompeii

These photos were taken of Pompeii the bronze sculptures were made in the 1980’s . I wish I had more time here , it impressive the size and layout and just to see what life was like around 600-700 BC . I would love to spend a couple of days here . I felt like I still missed a lot of things .
Mount Vesuvius can be seen in the background of some of footage .
Pompeii supported between 10,000 and 20,000 inhabitants at the time of its destruction
Pompeii was destroyed around 79 CE when, Mount Vesuvius erupted, it blanketed close to 18-20 feet of ash and other volcanic debris. The city’s quick burial had preserved it for centuries before its ruins were discovered in1748 and identified in 1763.
Vesuvius is still an active volcano tit rises above the Bay of Naples around Campania its about 4,200 feet tall.

I spend so much time wandering really wish I had few days more . They ere really rough but they started excavating in the 18 century .

Oh , just a little history lesson Pompeii was before Emperor Constantine who was before the First Pope . But still the quote about fools and being held accountable was ok
