It's a real challenge. German is a much easier option if it's your second language. Plus it's a good basis for swedish, danish, Norwegian etc. French is... Very unphonetic. Took me four years to get as far as I got in two years of German.

I'm listening to this as someone who doesn't speak French properly. And there are tiny, little things I am finding with this song that I think only a non-speaker would. The way most pronunciations of the alphabet come through the nose. R's peculiar pronunciation. The softness of the lyrics.
