"I want to go to Antarctica." 2022 Pomu probably didn't even know. Here to rewatch one of my favorite movies with Pomu one last time.

Boy, I'm so glad I got to catch this live! Haven't seen The Thing in a while, and as my second watch of it, even after 40 years, everything still holds up. Those effects are spectacularly made, which gives it that impact. Also a great surprise to watch the Re:View of this from RLM. The fact that now I've gotten to watch one of my favorite channels with Pomu... what a time to be alive.

Old movies like "The Thing" are not movies that only rely on CGI for the realisticness of every element of the movie making. Appreciation is very necessary to be able to create a Horror Vibe that will always be remembered by Audience like us from that era until now.

Thank you for the watchalong Pomu! The movie was so good and I probably never wouldve thought to watch it if not for you. I'm not great with horror genre but this movie was done so well and was super fascinating! Seeing how the 2011 remake changed it really made me appreciate the genius tension build-up of the original. Can't wait for the next watchalong!

Great movie, the practical effects still look great for a movie that came out 40 years ago.

What a classic! That was a great choice! Watching all the old movies again with Pomu and the Pomies makes me want to binge watch them all. And I really really liked watching RLM afterwards! If that's possible to do after every watch along, I support it 100%! Definitely need to plan a weekend Pomie movie marathon if time ever allows. I haven't gone to a theater in a long while. Watch along streams like this make it feel like we've all gone to one together, especially with RLM it's like that fun moment of talking about a movie after just seeing it. Thank you Pomu for letting us use your personal theater again! Next time we'll remember to bring popcorn~

Thanks for another great watchalong Pomu, The Thing is a really good choice! It's definitely clear where the OG of Amogus is from, the troupes of going off on your own always happens. Getting the RLM Re:view for the The Thing is such a great bonus watchalong. Hope you rest well and look forward to more horror tomorrow at Until Dawn!

This was my first time watching! Damn, that was a good movie. The RLM review was pretty interesting too, the deep analyses of the practial effects and jumpscares. I used to think reboots were neat when I was in my teens, but now I'm a little sick of them. Anyway, had lots of fun tonight. Was pretty neat to see some of thr photos from Universal and the diagram of your streaming setup, too. Thanks for hanging out with us, Pomu!

Yay! this was the first time I ever watched this movie and I gotta say, I wasn't expecting to like it so much!! This movie was absolutely amazing, blew me away! I can handle myself extremely well with gore and gross things in movies and tv so I have no problem eating while watching said things but this movie was something else, I'd never seen anything like it! the defibrillator scene was insane, I had to stop eating for a few moments lol I still have to watch the first part that I missed though. Also watching the RLM review at the end was a great way to learn a bit more about the movie, I'm up to do that with every watchalong if you want btw Pomu, was it you that muted me in Millie's stream yesterday when she asked to describe you in one word? I only spoke the truth

Woowee what another great watchalong! Back to back John Carpenter films, I can see why people recommend them so much. It's crazy how well this movie holds up despite being so old. It was so good that I started to feel a bit queasy from a couple of the scenes Thank you so much for the watchalong and small chat after Pomu Always great to have a nice time with Pomu and the Pomies! 2:43:20 9cm Pomu

Blessed double watchalong This is one of the few horror movies I've watched, the gore is kinda disgusting but also really weird and alien, it's amazing how that magic is still there after all these years. For me the best parts were the scenes were the crewmates were trying to figure out who was the thing, the paranoia in the air is what makes me love this movie.

The Thing...this movie scares me, not for the jumpscares, but the psychological horror I'd never watch stuff like this again on my own, but it's fun watching with everyone! I really enjoyed the pics from your trip to Universal, and also the RLM watchalong! Seeing some of the magic revealed, and learning who worked on the movie is really cool. Thanks for the extra long watchalong Pomu! Now for the next movie, can we pick something happy?

Thanks for the watchalong! I've been wanting to watch this movie for a while, but I'm so lazy so I always forgot about it. Watching it with you and the pomies was really great! Also watching the review later was interesting, it showed how bad the effects on the 2011 movie were, even if it was a prequel it makes you realize remakes are not always a good idea~
