hey jon, i'm looking for some opinions on a great rod/reel combo to buy for around $300-350 USD. I'm leaning towards a medium-heavy rod because I want to be able to fish any rig for bass.(jig, worm, crankbait) I was looking at a St. croix triumph X rod, with possibly a shimano CI4 reel. I understand that around this price range most products are similar and it comes down to personal preference, but I am a novice when it comes to choosing both rod and reel, so any recommendation is appreciated.
