Mark. Lisa and I would like to thank you for quite simply a magnificent project. We thought long and hard about who we wanted to build our wildlife pond and after many months of searching, we found you. From the moment I first contacted you I knew that you were the pond builder for us. The communication was first class. The ideas we swapped along our journey were amazing. Without going into detail here on KZbin we needed to have a back garden that we could relax in, enjoy the birds and wildlife we have around us with a background of water flowing. You have given us exactly what we were looking for. Nothing was to much trouble for you - AT ANY STAGE! You were an absolute pleasure to have at our home and what you have created for us in our back garden is quite simply just perfect. You were interested at all times in what we had to say, our ideas and thoughts and you guided us through the whole project from start to finish. Thank you so much Mark. Lisa and I will always keep in touch with you as our wildlife pond evolves and matures. I would not hesitate to recommend your services to anyone.

steve smith thank you the price depends on a number of things the best thing to do is email a picture of what you currently have and I can then see what you see. On a broad basis I have a written blog on how much it costs to build a pond and a couple of videos around the cost of having a pond

Beautiful pond (again)! What kind/make of gravel do you use, for planting areas and other (I really like the type you use at 6 min in play). I'm building my pond right now, but struggling with the color scheme here. The rocks/stones are mainly beige/brown/sand with occasionally some blue/grey. Can you advise a certain type of gravel for best match en some contrast, for use below and above the water level (colour change)? Best regards, Pim.

Hi. What's the adhesive you use to stick rocks and also what is the white fleece like material you use between liner and rocks? Thanks
@ThePondAdvisor5 жыл бұрын
The white fleece is underlay (pond fleece to protect the rubber liner).

Black waterfall foam is the adhesive I use

Loving your Videos! I'm building my own small (1.8m x 1m) pond at the moment. I was wondering where you go about getting your pond gravel from, are there any places that you'd recommend? And do you always use GrowWise aquatic compost? I need to go through and watch more of your videos!
@ThePondAdvisor4 жыл бұрын
I use any fish safe gravel, as it’s normally aquatic or washed. Aquatic soil again I use a number of different planting media, have a look at some more of my wildlife pond showcase and how to videos.

Hi I have like little white maggot looking things with long tails I don’t know what they are or if they will hurt my fish ??
@ThePondAdvisor5 жыл бұрын
They are probably rat tail maggots, no they will not harm the fish, however the water quality these guys like might be a problem for the fish. The maggots can live in very stagnant water.

So what determines when you use a intake bay vs a skimmer.
@ThePondAdvisor5 жыл бұрын
A skimmer is less maintenance but an intake bay has a bigger intake area so better for wildlife. Also depends on the size of the pond on a big one I would add an intake bay.

I buy stone from all over, this stone was hand selected from Oxfordshire it’s slowly running though. They stop digging it up over 10 years ago. Cost can vary from £100 to £450 per ton on most stone for ponds,
