Hey bud awesome videos these passed couple weeks. I ain't trying to tell you what to do but I trim the "legs" on the frog about a half inch and wait just a second more before setting the hook and that has helped me with the frog bite
@xomgitsjay5 жыл бұрын
Hey LFG...just FYI under your seat is a junk drawer where you can store all the small things so you dont have to reach out to the dry pod in front of you. There's a little knob that locks it in place so it doesnt move around on ya. The bonafide yak is an awesome yak and im happy to see others using them. Also a yak anchor will help keep you in place when the wind is hitting.

Very easy to stand on and super maneuverable. I got the 107 and my buddy has the 127. We absolutely love them, only complaint I can thing of would be on windy days it seems the back end always want to point towards the shore when you stop paddling but it's easy enough to spin around. Minor complaint I should say. Incredibly stable and well made. Absolute best non pedal kayak on the market as far as I'm concerned.
@MikeRevelle5 жыл бұрын
@@xxcoalminezxx7411 Bonafide just came out with things you can add to the bottom of the 127 and 107 to stop it from doing that in the wind, check out their website for it!

I own a private 10 acre lake that has bluegill in it that puts those to shame. Tiny bass though. Average size bass is probably about a pound. Funny thing is, there are also absolute monsters in there 10+ lbs. they are just incredibly rare. I didn’t realize it was abnormal for bluegill to be that big until I saw this video. One time, I caught a bluegill as big as my size 11 shoe. You are right about 1 thing: those bluegill are delicious to eat. I fillet them like bass. Beats the hell out of picking the bones out. You should try it

Any advice on preventing backlashes with baitcasters for someone who is just starting to use them after only using spinning gear for years
@samlynch74635 жыл бұрын
flarexx.xx make sure your tension knob, Star drag and regular drag are set at the right setting, I just started baitcasting as well, finally getting it down, also when you get birdsnested just pull out the side and untangle it there, makes it a lot easier, the more you cast the better you’ll get, caught a 2.5 and a 3.1 bass today on mine, you’ll get the hang of it👍🏼
@Finch085 жыл бұрын
When you tie on a new lure push the button and let it fall. As soon as the lure hits the water it should stop. If it doesnt stop adjust the little knob on the side until it stops. With it set like that it's very hard to backlash. Your casting distance wont be so great but you gotta start somewhere. Once you are confident with it set like that you can start loosening the brake. Over time you'll learn how to break using your thumb and wont really need the break at all. A good fluid cast and thumb action are the two keys to baitcasting. It just takes lots of practice just like anything else.
@Finch085 жыл бұрын
If you bird nest it's easy to get out. Start by pulling the line out the front. Once you cant anymore because its tangled, (do not overly pull on the line and tighten the nest) grab the tangle spot and pull it out towards your chest from the top of the spool. With it loose again start pulling line out the front again. Rinse and repeat until the bird nest is gone. Once you figure this technique out backlashing becomes insanely easy to deal with. I rarely do it but when I do it's gone in a few seconds.
