Or simply us the machinetools align function and set it to floor. No edit mode neeeded :)

i know i have several vids on it, you still need to click floor, otherwise it will default to origin, and if the object is rotated, you ll need to hit alt r after using alt a with machine tools

I never seen someone explain something this bad, dude is just runing through and talking. Yes it is shown in left bottom corrner what he is clicking (doing) but if you go fast it is imposible to see what he clicked. Teaching is not for everyone!

Thanks for the video. Nice to know that Hardops can do that. Tbh, I didn't looked up for that feature, because I use for that case the 'Drop it' Addon, which do it afaik with raycasting on the ground.

I am still trying to get a flow in handling hardops and boxcutter I got some of your tutorials and it has been a big relieve when trying to navigate the tools. Its like the 80/20 rule Andrews said. 80% you only use 20% of the time or at all. And 20% is the thing you use 80% of the time. Still not easy but much more fun with less time consuming hickups. As you said try harder or die trying life is hardops :)

Nice pro tip thank you my friend. Is there a quick way to do it with an object and then sending it to the face of another object that isn't directly at the "floor" level. Or do we still gotta assign the cursor to the area and then the object afterwards?

There is another way to get (same?) result in two (faster?) steps. I think it's vanilla, but im not sure))... 1. Use Origin menu pie - 'Ctrl Alt X' shortcut (Prefs=>keymap=>3D View=>3D View Generic=>Origin Menu), choose 'Origin to bottom'. 2. Then Alt G to reset all axes location, or set Z location to '0' manually.

@@АлексейПурех count the clicks, with hops you go tab face click, q to floor, 4. It is also not just the clicks but screen space travel that matters.
