Pontiac Aztek temp sensor replacement

I change my temp sensor an my Aztec temperature goes up to 3/4 then the fans turn o and come down to 1/2 is that normal or do I need to buy a new temp sensor also put a new thermostat.

I am working on the same thing. Got a new thermostat so i suggest you get a new temp sensor also
